I'm sick of Gover and his Holden hugging articles. Seriously, he shouldn't be a journo. He can't be non bias.
And yes, it's a lot of dough for a glorified Omega.

How does this kind of crap get approved for publishing? Walkinshaw have always had vehicles more powerful than 335kw, so I'm not sure how Walkinshaw have "hit back"? It's funny, FPV have moved out of HSV's league power wise so now these Carsguide morons have resorted to comparing factory FPV cars to a special edition blown Walkinshaw.

Someone should spend $30K on a GT and see what kind of performance they end up with...

NOPE, not true.

Holden wont touch the car if the issue can be attributed to the modifications.
You effectively split responsibility for any problem...
What ever Holden reneg on you fight with walkinshaw over....

Exactly what I was thinking.

I knew how much crap this article would have from the title alone but when I read that part I printed off the scan and wiped my *** with it.

Some people need to take the eye patch off and drop the blue monocle, Gover is pretty fair & balanced IMO, from reading the Hun's Cars Guide every Friday and hearing his weekly radio spot on 3AW.

Just fitting that bonnet scoop could be taken as abuse.

Need to send Russel Ingal and the ECPA to visit Mr Walkinshaw.

I highly doubt they ADR every car too.

Be funny to see EPA hunt these down as soon as the owners get them...

I don't hear his weekly spot on 3AW, but I read the Holden, ahem Cars Guide each Friday, and it displays a clear bias and favouritism towards Holden.

Take the actual article title for instance. "Holden back on top" is rubbish. "Walkinshaw Performance hits 460" may have been a more appropriate title. It would have been a statement of fact of Walkinshaw's tuning house prowess/development, but the article's title gives the glory to Holden, not the tuning house.

That alone is a clear bias displayed.

For the money, the back of the car is plain as hell.

Holden have always had it far, far easier in the media with very little scrutiny over any of their vehicles, but gee, I'd expect something a little more ornate for over $100,000.

The wheels don't do it for me either.

I would rather just stick with a regular HSV...

This new Plastic Pig just looks like an Omega to me with a few bits tacked on.

Gover would happily dance with a pig wearing lipstick.

Media like stirring up debate and there seems to be a LOT of people talking about this, mentioning carsguide, reading carsguide and increasing carsguide's public profile.

In media the end ALWAYS justifies the means......

Maybe your not aware of Govers history. From being a professional Brock seat sniffer to his oblivious facination with all things GM it's nigh on possible to even think this guy could possibly be non biased. For reference sake, see if you can find the article he wrote on the Polariser for the Canberra Times, or any article on motorsport in the 80's and 90's where he was writing these 'non biased' articles from the comfort of the HRT pit bunker. His peers weren't impressed with him either.

Ok and your explanation for this article is...? Even most Holden/HSV fans would laugh at the headline, it's completely false and misleading.

The article only has as much credence was the individual reader is prepared to give it, and quite honestly, it doesnt even deserve the airtime it's getting in this thread. If there is a 'war' on (is there?), its between HSV and FPV, not a 'production car' of 23 build. What war anyway? We're spoilt these days with great cars from both manufacturers...we'll remember these days fondly. The numbers cars from both stables are making are just awesome and translate well in the driving
