I'd get the Audi A8 Quattro. Awesome car! Worth over $200k new means they have already depreciated around $130k if you bought one. It would hold the value you pay for it a lot more than any brand new car you bought.
The only other car I would consider would be the Jag or the FPV F6.......although if I was being realistic, I would buy a 2009 XR6 Turbo with 6 speed auto for $30k and keep $45k in cash!

i went GT just because that car has got allot of potential. . . and looks the best out of the bunch, however one of those mercs or jags look appealing but the GT has such a bigger presence to me. if those cars were lined up at a car show i would without a doubt go to the GT first. |

While people do buy cars to please themselves, many also base their decision just because of the badge. There is a reason FORD brought back the GT as it was marketable ....... and to have a BMW or Merc is also not considered on quality alone. In the end, a GT may not be worth the $15,000 over a GS but it does have that little piece of red that other people can point at Quote:

I went the amg , just of face value but test driving some cars may sway me , plus maintenance costs . Another car i would consider would be the mitsubishi evolution mr

It also comes down to K's traveled per year. Second hand cars scare me... Unless you could get 1 listed with less than 20,000k's on it id go new every time.

It'd would be a tossup between the F6/GT though, really depends on handling. Big fan of the 4.0l

I'd go with the f6, yeh the gt is awesome and all but I just think the f6 is a truly amazing drivers car. The main reason would probably be that you wouldn't be buying the first version of the new 5.0 engine but yeah its more what you feel comfortable in ey!

F6, simple to extract large amounts of power over factory. Something only the WRX in this group can acclaim to.

If depreciation is a worry ..... could buy this for the same price as a FG 335. After 3 years wonder which would be in front?
Description is only 900 k's so could be under the heading as a demo??

Personally having driven a late model M3 manual I couldn't look at anything else http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_M3
But then owning a bimmer already tends to bias , and they do retain value for years as I discovered when I bought mine |

Have been "thinking" about an E39 M5 for about a year now, its been driving me crazy I'd have to stretch a little bit to get into a W211 E55 AMG, but for me these 2 would be top of the list I voted E55 as the M5 isn't listed

Why spend $75,000 on a new GT when you can dig into your piggybank and score a second hand superseded model for only $83,000.
http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/...aspx?R=7171545 (albeit, a "collectors" car) PS: I chose the GT. If there was a brand spanking BA GT, I'd probably go for that instead, I think they are the best looking car in the history of man sorry, that's just me though

If you go to the 2 door market though in this price bracket ....... there are some ball tearer's that would be great to own! Plenty of M3's, Porsche and the like. Even the little Ford RS new would be a fun car to own! One thing is in this little exercise ..... if you want a newer car with absolute grunt you need to buy something much older. This would make the GT335 (F6 & HSV) good value even though the finish might not be there nor the prestige? Not saying I do have the money to buy but I think it does show that even though they are up there in price ..... for a new ball tearer that can cart the family they are certainly up there.
