I wash Mum and Dad's cars (AUII Falcon Futura wagon, BAII XT Sedan w spoiler n fairmont rims) every couple of months once they're dirty enough, if it's too often they don't pay me the $20 I usually get lol.
Clean, vacuum, windows, stuff... wash myself in the process lol... throw soap water at my sister... squirt any of my or my sisters friends who turn up... tip bucket of leftover water over them if they have swimmers on. XD. |

Mine gets washed & vac'd for me at least once a week sometimes more, depending how dirty it is and how busy my detailer is at the time.

February, then again last week.
So every 6 months at this rate. But I wouldn't call my car my pride and joy. I am hopefully getting that soon. |

Mine gets a wash and vacuum on Friday then a foam spray and hose off a dry on Tuesday.
There is a a gypsum stockpile down the road from my work that gets blown over my car. By hosing off during the week it doesn't get a chance to stick to the paintwork. |

Once a week usually, though not much lately, since it's been raining non-stop in Perth since the end of May. :(

Underside gets washed after every off road venture.
Body only if its just as dirty as the underside or when a visible layer of dust or other messy's can be seen when standing outside. If the building's common garden hose jet decides to begin to disjoin itself from the actual hose ever so slightly again and shoot water absolutly bloody everywhere and continue to soak me no matter what i do then the truck will not be washed as i will give up and probobly drive over the hose jet body. In that event i go to a public pressure washer and spend $8 blowing all the mud n crud off the underside

The wench washes the car in her bikini once a week no matter what the weather is like... only joking!
Nah,I wash the entire exterior of the car once a week. I only vacuum once a month. I give her a wax once a month also, so if it does rain in between wax's, then the water just beads off.

Generally, once every month or two, depending on how busy I am...

i wash mine once a week, and it's usually covered in mud, which is not a good look for a street ute.

Yep, the XY only when it needs it otherwise quick detail and lives in the shed as said water = rust. I prefer to wash them less than more for this reason. Also evrytime you wash you take some wax etc off. If you wash once a week you should wax once a month. I find our new car which is used everyday I detail once every 1-2months. USed to wash the XF when I was eager and keen once a week and now its got alot of rust. Not so bad if it sits in the sun to dry our but no good if you wash and sit away.

During summer though I'd wash it every couple of weeks, or at least rinse it off at the car wash. Maybe hand wash it thoroughly once a month or so depending on the weather.

I have a black car, so its already an uphill/expensive/time consuming battle to keep it looking clean. It's also bad for me because I can't stand to have a dirty car.
Wash, spray sealant and tyre dressing once a week, usually Friday night or Saturday. Sometimes I do a mid week clean with detail spray. Interior get cleaned once a week. I also try to clean the car as soon as possible after any rain. I do a full detail (usually over 2 days) - wash, claybar, cut, paint clean, seal, a few layers of wax, interior detail, leather clean and condition, etc - every 3 to 6 months depending on the condition/feel of the paint surface.

If you have a show car that only comes out on dry days etc then fine but if it’s your daily or gets parked under trees etc then weekly washing (including the underside) will stop it rusting as it washes all the crap off that causes rust in the first place (and cleans out all the rain channels that fill with leaves and berries etc). I always chamois off my cars after washing and then take them for a 10 or 15kms drive to dry out any trapped water. Washing a car and putting it away wet will cause rust. Otherwise, washing is the best thing you can do. |

I don't know where you guys get the time!
I do mine about every 6 months, its kinda pointless as most others have said cos its outside all the time and just gets dirty again. Thats why I got Lightning Strike cos its stays pretty clean looking even when its dirty. |

Haha Mick you started a thread about this too. Well I knda wish I was still living in Darwin when its dry season weather. Albury/Wodonga sucks in winter I used to wash and then clean the interior throughly every week in Darwin but down here its dirty again in 3 days so its every 2-3weeks now.

I swap between Sydney and Singapore. My Singapore car is washed every weekday as it only costs me A$1 per day! Every week morning I walk up to the car it is freshly washed.
