And I hope he drives a F6 or a GS, AM is in the GT. Perhaps a F6E given his status and being a family man.

I think you guys are missing the point here...
Tell me about Holden from when you grew up (I'm 33) and you will tell me about Peter Brock, Mt Panorama and HDT. Now tell me about aspirational cars from that same time and tell me about a Ford. The best of them was the ESP's but backed by who. Ford but did anyone from the generation coming through really care? Apparently not and I'm one of them. Holden fan all the way through my childhood. Now tell me who won. Holden did. And they even screwed Brock in the end. Now is the chance to take advantage of what todays kids see as aspirational people and whether you like it or not Harry K is aspirational. Superstar. And he drives a Ford. Now FPV and Ford need to the market the f'ing ***** out of it.

but none of this talking head type ads. They need action and excitement...the thrill of the drive and car... how bout HK kicking a soccer ball that flies with great speed and then morphs into an fpv product? i dont know. Something along those lines. |

Im not a fan of HK as i don't follow the sport, if FPV feels it will help then all the power too them but i bet we don't start seeing a whole heap of Soccer mums rocking up to practice in GT's instead of Prados.

I'm not saying it's the wrong move at all, I'm just saying I don't understand the connection. Is there a history of HK having an affinity with Fords? I've seen him in a Bentley, that's about it. |

Maybe Bana said no, too busy..who knows. What I do know is that the exposure they will get will be great. Nothing negative will come of this unless something pretty drastic was to happen, but he seems stable in his life so its pretty risk free.

Has it even been confirmed they are not keeping both? AMs name is still on the FPV website. I could see benefits from keeping both.

As much as I loath soccer, this might actually be a smart move.
The publicity he will generate in his first few games here will be huge. You only had to watch the news to see how many people swarmed to the airport to see him when he arrived to know he has a big following. |

Good move by FPV.
Harry is popular with the younger generation than Allan Moffat is. Ford/FPV need to let go of the past glory days of Ford vs Holden. The market has moved away from that.

I hope he drives an F6 or, F6E, way cooler than a GT in my opinion to younger people. Just these days a bit forgotten about.

This is what I am talking about....big bloody Ford logo in an article that is going to be read by alot of people = exposure.
"Harrys love of flash Fords" and FPV in the same article is gold. Suck eggs Hyundai, although I would be peeved aswell. Mind you Ford sponsors Geelong in the AFL and Toyota deal with it... |

Kewell's contract is pretty clear - no contracts with companies that compete against the sponsor. of course, FPV and hyundai arent actually competitors as such, are they? |

Im sure Ford/FPV knew this prior and can argue quite easily that Hyundai have no direct competitor to FPV, fair game if you ask me.

Harry Kewell is a legend in a very popular sport.
Can someone tell me how it could possibly be a bad thing having him walking around wearing and promoting FPV? The guy is massively popular! |
