Bathurst stats play some part in that. The Clevo has the runs on the board.

I think you're confused, the wheezor IS the boat anchor!!
Bathust victories were strictly the domain of the Cleveland, hence the premium paid for Cleveland GT's!

I would think 70k would be a good buy.
It could be worth up to 100K but the fact its a windsor drops its value a
little IMO.
6-8 grand and that wheezor will put out more power and be just as reliable as any mildly modified clevo.

Not the factory 351 W unfortunatly, those heads will forever be its short coming, the clevo GT's will allways attact more $$$ its just the way it was and the way it allways will be because of the racing success of the clevo..

Modifying them means little too, mod for mod, $ for $ the big port clevo will win every time. At the end of the day people pay the big $ for history, not mod potential.

Good find mate, is it owned by a close friend of yours?

I'm a bit baffled by the price, If it's a good as you say it should be worth around the 100K mark as has been said.
It would seem as though these rarities either go for a steal when being sold by someone who has no idea of their worth or full market value as dictated by current prices.
This falls smack in the middle which doesn't make sense to me.
The owner seems to know it's worth big dollars by the raised value he puts on it but isn't going to sell it for what it's really worth which can be established with a simple call to AMCS.

I'm happy to stand corrected if i'm way off but if it's a genuine GT it's gotta be worth more than a restored replica XY regardless of engine

So the 1967 Bathurst win doesn't count??
haha.. firing up the anchor brigade is too easy - it's funny, even my mate with his XA GT calls clevo's anchors...just taking the p1ss of course... clevo's are ok, but I'll always prefer a 351W in an XW GT

LOL, love the fighting passion of the wheezor brigade! its hard to be humble though when the clevo has a 6 to 1 Bathurst win record against the wheezor! :

Thats how I remember Windsors. They ran out of puff around 5000 - 5500 rpm. Alloy heads have given them the legs they needed. Before that in Boss form they went well.

True, the wheezor was reliable though... well atleast the 289/302 was, you couldnt blow up a wheezor because they couldnt breath well enough to spin hard enough to blow up in the first place!

windsor / cleveland ,

who really cares. If you want a fast car for this sort of coin i could think of some great cars to buy. and they would stop and handle a ship load better.
For me its not about how fast it is. I love to get into My GT and cruise with the sound of the clevo drowning out the sound of the kids fighting in the back .lol
but really for sound I would have to say the best sounding car i have is my windsor powered sierra. makes some heads turn for sure!

hehe...I suppose once you sort out the oil pressure problems and fix up those Intake ports with alloy tongues then the anchors do make a good towcar motor when you want to tow your racecar to the track....

Even Ali and Tszyu had losses, but like the clevo they are still miles ahead of their competitors.

Maybe under Group C/A after Ford removed all factory support of motorsport.. and Holden increased theirs..
As a production race engine under the production car rules that the HO's competed in the 308 didnt win anything.
Holden did a good job of supporting their teams with this engine under group C then Group A, its a pity Ford never did...
