I have a stain that was left from a 'deposit' on my back seat as well as some interesting feet marks.
Previous owner is a good friend and I'm well aware of the 2nd person involved and its a not a bad thing. Well it still probably is a bad thing. Depends on how you look at it

A Centura I bought in the 80's had a large collection of porn magazines under the back seat. The previous own said he knew nothing about it and in his defence pointed out that just before he sold it to me the car had been stolen and the interior stripped. So the car had new seats would a motor trimmer hide his porn collection in a customers car?

Back in 1984 we bought a very low kilometer one-owner 1980 VC Commodore SL four cylinder (stop laughing you bastards...), and kept finding all sorts of stuff.
When a mate and I were fitting a stereo and running speaker wires, under the carpet underlay in the front we found a couple of dozen small round plastic pieces...about 10mm across shaped like a little fat disk, moulded neatly, with a little tag of twisted off plastic on one side...the same fawn colour as the interior plastic trim. I can only assume it was moulding bits off the injection moulded interior parts...like you sometimes see on parts of plastic model kits so that the plastic flows into odd corners and sharp edges of the mould. Obviously a worker had just chucked them on the floor and laid the underlay and carpet over them. Then one day an odd fluttery noise could be heard from the drivers side air vent, and I poked a long piece of wire down, feeling a bit of resistance. expecting leaves or something, I pulled the vent and with a hooked piece of wire pulled out a folded paper bag, white, fairly brittle, which had "Hot Pies" printed on the front...some worker after smoko break obviously and couldn't be bothered walking to the bin. Under the rear seat, when running speaker wires again, we found a couple of one dollar notes. Other than that, nothing really in any other car except change...oh...and four condoms still sealed in thier row of foil packs under the carpet in an old Corolla we bought off the roadside once. |

the pintara had some bark chips and some coins, the corona had some coins and a babies dummy, the BMW had a heap of cd's all titled stuff like "dance beatz 2007", but the VL commodore takes the cake.
about $28 in change....and nearly 15 used syringes with what I am 100% sure was heroin in them. the needles where crusted in blood and there where suspicious looking empty bags in and around the needles too. I had bought the car cheap from some.....less than upstanding citizens....so I wasn't surprised. I used a fair few gloves to gingerly pick all the needles out and put them in a box and deposited them in a sharps disposal unit at a dunny. Spent the change at maccas haha.

Found an 18mm spanner behind the rear seat in my FG XR6. Not sure where it came from, maybe from Ford or when it was being serviced at Ford. But it explaind the occasional clunk on take off.

had the what have you found under seats of cars discussion with a detail some time ago, his best 2 that came to mind was a freezer bag of the old disco biscuits
The other one he remembers was a girl dropping her car off for a clean, and cleaning the car came across some photo's of her doing some intersting things with a bloke One of the mates came across a live .303 round in the abck seat of a VS commo! |

New a bloke once who bought an old 180B datto off of some surfer dudes and discovered about 2lbs of prime buds sealed in 2 bags under the back seat. How stoned would you have to be or how much would you have to have laying around to forget that?
Personally I've never found anything more interesting than the usual pocket shrapnel and odd kiddy toy, oh, and once found a Sidchrome shifter under the back seat of a HT Prem I bought once. I still have it. Bushbasher

The old 1985 VK HWP Commodore I bought back in 87 had a large plastic bag of those new fangled bretho tubes in it behind the spare wheel
The XE I bought to do up found a measley $25 under the rear seat - the old paper money and a few coins as well When I worked for Holden Spare parts back in 88 an old fella bough a nice new VL Calais Turbo and from day 1 it had a persistant rattle in the rear of the car the work shop could not find it - see nothing had changed in over 20 years - when they removed all the inside trim after he got narky there was a crushed coke can wedges behind the C Pillar where is joins the seat squab - maybe from the production line

Under the seat of one of my brothers F100 were several wallets (with licenses), a few tools and an old-school car lock puller - quite well made. We tried it out on a few of the car bodies with locks and it works very very well.

All I have found is a golf ball and a group certificate for the previous financial year. After seeing the Group certificate, I understood why he sold his car.

Nothing interesting. In the first XD I found coins, cutlery, a used nappy in the boot, hair clips.
I found a pen behind the ICC in the BA, and when I pulled the seat skins off to sew the XR logo in colour, I found a photo of a Corella in someone's backyard.

I bought an XF wreck last night.
Loaded on the trailer the ex-owner says, let me just check if I left anything under the seat. Then he pulls out a $20 note!

What is it with people selling cars with dope in them? I bought a running ZH Marquis for $200 as a parts car back in '04, there was a MASSIVE bag of dope stuffed under the drivers seat. I took it back to the bloke I bought it from - He realised as I was driving off after I bought it but was too afraid to call to ask for it back!
Other than that, just the usual coins, pens, etc. Found some old parking tickets and receipts from California under the glovebox of my Scamp, which was pretty cool.

when I first bought my ute back in 2005 - I found a sony ericson mobile phone behind the driver seat which obviously belonged to the previous owner.
Looking through the phone (as you do when you find a mobile phone lol), I discovered several naughty pics of the dudes wife! nothing to the imagination what so ever! she was alright looking too

Another one was an old genuine Mini Cooper that I was offered by a mum with 4 kids...I found carpet under all the lolly papers and ice cream sticks.
Needless to say the carpet or, what remained of it was in the dumpster about 10 min later along with the seats

Never really found anything interesting, though when I worked as a detailer at a small car yard, I used to find plenty of change to substitute my meagre wage, probably enough for the ATO to want to tax me on LOL
The best thing I found was a 10m spanner! the one I ALWAYS loose! Last edited by ChrisCE; 24-01-2012 at 05:14 PM. Reason: Cant spell |
