Geez, that video keeps getting around. There's one upload on YouTube where it's apparently a Chinese car and another claiming it's a Russian car. Seriously though, it isn't travelling at the normal crash test speed and was loaded up with weight otherwise it would not had compacted up like that

I have assumed it was simply a higher speed impact.

Still chilling to know most/all cars will do the same if you go fast enough.

And modern cars are getting faster and more powerful, yet i have to drive on roads that are getting worse and worse.

I think the Opel held up terrible mainly because it was cheap and terrible car with a horrible weak chassis.
