Sorta suprises me too that not a single person attempted to prevent this from happening, being a cafe strip, surely there would have been some plastic backed tablecloths or something that could have been used as an interim measure.
I have had to do this exact thing when my workmate left his A4 convertible at work without the keys with the roof down. The quick throwing of a plastic sheet over his car saved him thousands in repairs and excesses, even it it needed a damn good polish to remove the light scratching from the plastic sheet. Or is it completely not worth the effort these days to try and assist a fellow motorist in such a situation? |
