I do about 700km's p/w in my Territory (work car) and between 400 - 450km's in my Chrysler (toy/weekender). So that's: Territory - ~36,400 p/a Chrysler - ~23,400 p/a TOTAL: ~59,800 I have problems!

I do about 1400 a fortnight to and from work, so roughly 36,000. Wouldn't have a clue what my personal K's on top would be.

The biggest run I have ever done is a Falcon was back in the late 70s I was a newspaper contractor for Mirror and drove from Torbanlea just north of Maryborough to Rockhampton and back 6 days a week dropping off bundles to all the news agencies. The trip was about 800km for that worked out to be about 250,000 km a year. I was 19 at the time so under current rules I would have been on green Ps.
The car was a pine lime 4.1 manual panelvan fitted with the sundowner pack. It was sold after about 20 months and replaced with a burnt orange XD 3.3 auto. Those were the good old days when there were no speed cameras or mobile radars and doing 120 meant you were being constantly overtaken.... It is amazing how much better your driving becomes if you stick to the 5 Ps. Practice, practice, practice, practice and umm.........practice...... |

For those of us who do small amounts of ok (say less than 10,000km) what sort of service schedule do you keep? I'm dropping the oil every 5 months in my BA. Will probably be lucky to be 2,000km on it.

I do a reliable 40,000km a year, and have since I started driving, except for one year where I lived about 2km away from work, and I did around 15,000km. I only live around 20km from work/town now, but I have an....active social life
Oh, and this was in an '88 Honda Prelude, a 2000 AUII Wagon, a '93 Toyota Dyna (named The Dynasaur), an '04 BA XT, and now a '10 FG XR6. |

Got the blue beast (94 NCII V8 'lane) in jan 05 at 196 on the clock. It died in 2010 with 440,000.
Picked up the red one (Same car) also at 196,000 in dec 05. Gave it to my dad & he handed back to me when the blue beast died on oct 2010. Got it with 342 showing & she's just gone 402, heading for 3. With a major major service at 400 flat. On average I will do 1000++ but with less work now than I had it has dropped. That was 1000 for work + whatever there was on the weekend. Some were 400+ weekends just doing run about stuff that I couldn't do during the week while at work...... It was around 55-60k in millage per year but has dropped to around 40. Maybe 35 min.

About 25-30k a year. I live close to work but I drive around a lot, friends places etc. have just recently cut down on that to save petrol.
