If you have ever been involved directly (and I mean competition driving/riding) with bikes or cars at motor sport level, you will know the difference in coming to terms with tin tops from bikes/open wheelers. It is not an easy task. .

LOL @ the hate for CS.
He is a better steerer than anyone on this forum. FFS he bettered CL's time albeit on new tires, but that is still a great achievement. He will race in the feeder series. Then go to which ever team decides they want a good driver that can deliver BIG DOLLARS. He is a WORLD CHAMPION........ and he is quick in a car. |

He may not do anything great in 4wheels and there's a long way to go as yet but the kid is shot down with no competitve races under his belt to date give it a break. If he was linked to a Ford team the fapping would be the opposite

Given enough lap time I think there are probably thousands of people that could go quick over one lap in a V8SC. But doing it lap after lap is a whole 'nother story. |

Dumbass and Kelly sisters?
Geeze, I remember the other stoner thread on frosty when it was said that most people show respect around here and if Stoner didn't open his gob about a well respected driver then that thread wouldn't have started.. Is well respected referring to a driver respected amongst his peers or amongst ford fans. I am sure the Kelly brothers and dumbrell are respected drivers. Both on and off the track. But yet people on this forum don't show them respect. Or is it one rule for ford drivers and one rule for Holden drivers?

and casey being in a holden has nothing to do with the sudden dislike for him - it has to do with stuff that that you referred to, not car choice and one of the sisters is/was not respected by his peers and the other one won a title by pushing his rival off (not deliberately in my view), so is not respected by many too |

Could not vote on the poll because there was no "Dominos Pizza delivery in Sydneys West" and that about sums up my interest in Stoner and driving anything.

He could well supprise most here, & I can see a lot of egg on peoples faces..
As far as the 888 deal goes, its pretty much done, Dane has been sucking Caseys @rse trying to get red bull money from Casey as RB are his sponsor.

He put his Coke commondoor on poll at Bathurst, & won the Japan sprotscar championship a couple of times!! so he wasnt that bad.. He didnt just get off the bike & jump straight into V8 supertaxi's. As far as him being a crasher, go back into the vast dark emptyness of your minds, I cant really remember him directly causing a crash.[ He did have a few. The old gaurd just didnt like the fact that he had good sponsors & a was pretty good driver, so they set about causing him as much greef as they could. Perkins, Johnson, & even Lowndes all crashed him out of races. His engine dropped its lunch while being in a great position at Bathurst one year, & [supprise supprise it was a Perkins motor.]

If Casey puts his mind to it he'll go great! & I can tell you one thing, he wont toe the V8 supercar line like a beaten dog, like these other sooks. He will fight like no one has ever seen in this series since the group C days. If he dont like something or someone we'll know about it.

Sesoned professionals that drive all types of cars overseas come and drive v8 supercars, events like Bathurst, the Gold Coast circuit, and they struggle to compete just look at premat the French driver for GRM this year, he was ment to be the best of the euro drivers in touring cars and he did nothing this year
So I think casey will struggle big time being quick at test session and being quick on race day are 2 different things
