And two guys on my shift just unloaded a whole 20 foot container of Glenlivet.
About ten pallets of 12 year old and about four pallets of 15.

Only about 80 cartons a pallet.
Lol.
Nice drop.....but I still use a mixer. Can't drink straight spirits.

Lol. I wish.
I think there's a Glenlivet that is in a single case (sold that way) that has a big year on the front of its carton.
There's a 1980 there and I'm sure ive seen one over the years that had a seventy something on it.
I will have a look next week
the glenlivit drinkers might have seen them before.
I will ask the boss if I can take a photo of one

This stuff is super smooth.
I am having some out of one of them right now.
I would consider selling one bottle for $400 posted.

(factory sealed, but any incidental contents are not intended for consumption. The value is intended to be as the container only...legal reasons. 18+ only.)

Good luck with the sale. If no one buys it I will sit down to enjoy a dram or 2 with you ;)

It's been over a week so I'm off to buy another whisky tomorrow. I have narrowed it down to these 3 bottles

1. Glenfiddich 15yr old
2. The Macallan 18 yr old
3. Glenlivet 18yr old

I need to choose 1. Has anyone tried these and what would you recommend ?

That's the typical American eBay spiel, in Australia you can't legally sell alcohol without a liquor licence. Also, authorities are clamping down on people using fake licences or using licence numbers from other people or establishments. If you get caught using a fake or borrowed licence you can expect a nice $7000 fine for your trouble.

Well if a forum friend wanted to come over and swap me something (probably in a plastic note variety) for it, then swaps aren't illegal-but I get your point.

I will be able to sell my empty once I finish drinking it then.

I couldn't decide between these 2 so I got both. If I'm up to it I will open the glenfiddich tomorrow night.

Unless you have a liquor licence for your state, then the exchange of alcohol, under any circumstances, is against the law. Have a look into your states licencing laws, because some states have temporary licences to allow people to sell their collections. In Queensland you have bugger all avenues to sell other than using Grays online, NSW and Vic have temp licences, not sure about the other states.

grabbed the tezon a normal bottle of jamo's some fortifieds and some good wine

best stuff i can get is ballantines 21yo, glenlivet 18yo jameson 18yo, royal salute and aberlour a'bundah
although ive never actually grabbed any of them!

Ok team, I need some help. I've got the opportunity to purchase these 3 ladies, as I'm not an expert some opinions regarding values would be helpful. Bottles are both from the 70's and prior to that.

Johhny Blue FTW

Come down a lot in price over that last few years.

Cheapest I've seen is 170 per bottle (almost 50%)

I've found out some crazy family history, not in a direct line (distant Uncle), but nonetheless very interesting.
Google "Persse Whiskey". You'll find it how rare it is.
I'm speaking with a person in a few weeks who has such a bottle (Going off notes written back in the 70's). Hopefully I'll have the pleasure of being in it's presence / taking a photo of it

Grabbed some WT Spiced last weekend. It won't become a regular, but it wasn't feral. I reckon it's just a fad and the bubble will burst.

I do love scotch but F..... the good stuff must be wasted on me as I need to have it with coke....

My mate is a bartender (not like chick with boobs hanging out at a night club) but at places that sell whiskey shots at $100+ a pop. Last time he treated me to a nice freebie I asked for some coke he nearly punched me in the face and was close to calling security on me. HAHA

Alas I stick to J Walker or Beam, maybe Chivas or Makers Mark if on special.

How is Canadian Club? is it scotch or bourbon?

The problem with glenfiddich I see these days is there is too many special editions coming out every other week.
