Attempting to shame people into buying an Aussie car is a pretty low rent way to market a product, especially when buying a car is an aspirational purchase and a large number of aspirational buyers want Euro cars.

A better bet would be to show how the Falcon has all the features of the up market brands at 2/3 the price. (In reailty the Falcon is dead and it's now on the longest run-out sale in history....and that is not a positive)

To be honest, Ford Australia are probably looking at their advertising budget and working out how to spend it on increasing sales of the Mondeo/Focus/Fiesta / Kuga --- which should all be selling a lot more than they currently do given how popular they are in other markets.

Ford needs to think about how to rebuild the brand in Australia and current sales of its badges (other than Ranger) are not impressive.

Why start to advertise the Falcon now. They haven't done it or done it properly in years

Ford should say "We know you think you have moved on to alternative cars, but this is what we still make and you should buy it because we have some fans who are ****ed off because the market has changed and they think it's our fault. Also, if there's no way you want a RWD sedan, we have an Escape and EcoSport that you should look at. Just sayin." Should be effective.

They have already downgraded the talk, it is now referred to as a “freshening.”
They will probably just roll out the bug fixes, with a few minor cosmetic changes, alter the paint colours slightly and update the fabric.

Marketing? What are they going to say? “Ford Falcon, so good we’re going to stop building them”?
“Ford Australia – We’re Moving to Thailand”?

There is no designation as of yet, it's simply referred to as 201X.

Ford should first spend some advertising money on the 3 car mags, that should get them back in the good books with those clowns.. I'm sure it will make the front page when it arrives anyway but the title says it all, so get them on your side for this last one.

They should also get some REAL ads detailing the cars in eco, lpi, lux and performance form, they shouldn't forget the wifey ads as these days most of the blokes don't have a say in parking an aussie sedan in the driveway, it's either euro or tonka truck skirts want to keep up with the jones family friend.

You need to shock for our last FORD Falcon, just do it, I just want one with a Ford badge. How bout you get another american to do your advertising given that you've become imp..
