He suddenly started thinking his GT was worth more and wanted cash his way... Ha... But that's for another thread... Stick on topic please,
If preferably the xr6t owners could contribute with a few good **** whooping stories (at the drag strip of course) |

325rwkw sounds a bit conservative. I reckon it would be making closer to 350 with those wicked mods
Mine must be a dud. I only got 250rwkw with the same mods hey I even got headers on mine

Admittedly, a few years back (2002), I thought that my VYSS (man) would spank a baI xr6 turbo (man) up to and over 100km/hr... How wrong I was.. I have only owned cars with the I6T motor since ;-)

The truth is a VF 6.0L SS Commodore with those mods Hulk has mentioned doesn’t even come close to making 325kw at the rear wheels.
If he had said that to me I would have asked him where was the dyno sheet to back up the claim so I’d know which tuner was telling porkies. Take your little story and post it on the LS1 forum and see what they have to say. Even their staunchest fan boys won’t admit to that power output. Which is quickest, a mildly modded SS or XR6T might be a bit more debateable. The SS might even be lucky enough to get the jump on the XR6T but I’d be putting my hard earned on the Turbo to pull away. |

If this fellow is so naïve he believes a tuned and very mildly modded SS Commodore is producing 325rwkw then he's not into cars and there is next to no chance he’s ever or will ever frequent a drag strip. Car guys know the truth about their cars and its competitors and that even includes the one eyed fan boys even if they won’t admit it. If he was into cars he would have made up an inflated figure that was more believable. Makes me wonder why someone who’s not a car person has had his car tuned unless it’s second hand and he bought it that way. Which makes me wonder where he got the 325 figure from. Which makes me wonder about the whole story. What a Barry Crocker of a story, it makes me wonder. |

He bought the car new and paid for the mods himself. I've used the shop he claimed did the work and they have a conservative dyno. I made 282rwkw years ago with a cammed 5.7 ls1 so his power claims seem ambitious even if it is a 6.0L with those basic mods. Whatever the claims, a 6.0L will need 350-400rwkw to keep near my xr6t with 331rwkw. Whatever his claims I will still get away after 100km/h |

Once again - you are seeking some sort of predicated argument to make you feel justified about your XR6T... The presumptions and on line gesticulations in your threads make us all believe you constantly need affirmations to settle your over active doubts. There will always be a better / faster / more economical / better looking / better offroad / better value / better investment / better colour / better tyred / better priced / better specced car and widget out there....always. So relax about all the comparos and just drive and enjoy your car more and tell us stories about the latest drive you enjoyed in it without the need for comparing it to something...... And post up some pics for once - exterior / interior / engine bay.. I'm starting to think its just a 1:18 scale model you have tucked away under your bed.

Hulk, you should not discount the trouser straining apocalyptic power of a standard 302W. I can pass parked cars with ease and just tear away from wheelie bins at the 2 kph mark. If you don't believe me, bring out your wheelie bin! Recycle or domestic or I can shame both at once...

I'm fair certain my LPG 4.0L with no mods would pull away from the XR6T above 100km/h.

The sands of time go seeping along, but Hulk continues his evil taunts from afar, ensnaring the unwitting into his spidery web of illusion of his own making.

Why people reply as they do really surprises me
It's a true scenario and I thought I'd share it on here. Is it better that I just poked the Holden driver in the eye and said that's to wake you up as you were dreaming. I've assessed the replies in this thread, the 5.4 owners seem really cut they were excluded from the comparo. It's always LSx vs I6t. the old boss 5.4 never seems to get a run against LSx/I6T due to its poor low rpm response (comparatively speaking) |

Ask a stupid question/s and get stupid answers hulk...
Grow some tiny mincy little balls and actually take one of your cars to the drags like real men/women do instead of asking poxy pointless questions about crap and speculation! |

We can all tell you are dead scared of losing which is why you are afraid to venture to the drags, losing is a big part of life mate, you should know that.
Ive been to the drags a heap of times over the years and have lost most of my races, big deal at least i had the guts to have a crack. |
