He did say to supply, fit and tune the 82r its 4g if i wanted to upgrade. I sent him an email with my now concerns because I don't want shards of turbo in anything lol

I'm seeing around 45% duty cycle for my GTX3582R, using a 15psi Turbosmart wastegate actuator to get 21psi boost.
Do you use the turbo smart actuator to control boost? I thought the ecu controlled boost?

My setup is in 2013 SZ Petrol Territory, the PCM doesn't have the hardware to control boost. I run a seperate Eboost Street boost controller, however that's not the point I made.

I run a 15psi turbosmart actuator. With that actuator the duty cycle is around 45% to get a commanded 21psi boost. So with this setup I get around 9psi of boost control (15-24psi) which is what I want. The turbo runs out of efficiency @ 24psi boost, no point wringing its neck past this point.

Maybe I'll get one put in. After the tuner gives me feed back. So I'm guessing I have 22psi because there's no control it just goes full boost all the time. ?

Are you expecting the small 3576 to do the same job as a GTX3582R, Gen 2, 84RS, PTE or BW by simply changing the actuator? What are you getting done to the wastegate port? And what about the flapper valve?

Just change the turbo and be done with it. Expect around a 100rwkw increase changing the stock 3576 with a GTX, PTE or BW turbo.

All im after is not to blow my turbo. If that means upgrading im up for that. I just don't see why my current set up is deemed so bad for the turbo. Im not looking at gaining another 100 rwks although that be nice I just want mine to be healthy.

Will it blow, will it not, who knows. Anything modified is higher risk.

Personally boost levels seems excessive and unnecessary with your set-up, but if you are happy with it who cares what I and others think.
