That's probably because they are an obsolete part now - hardly an issue with the database itself.
AU 6009 A CYL HEAD ASSY $2055.00 They still exist for the AU. Cheers Russ

I'm a BA XR8/SX Ghia owner, and would DEFINITELY refer to it if these models were included.

Is there any way that results can be posted on more than on page. For instance, I was looking for details on the BA/BF VCT module and the only search terms that produced any results produced so many results that it wouldn't display the results I was after. Apart from this, the database is pretty good.
Oh, and thanks Russ for the help with the login problem.

The other slightly (!) annoying feature with the parts database is needing to put the spaces in when searching by part number. |

I don't know if this is possible, but would it be a huge improvement if you could write code into the serach engine so that when you type in multiple words into the description box it searches for those words in any combination. At the moment, it seems to only search for the exact combination of words entered (including punctuation).
To test this i typed in "camshaft intake" into the description box and returned no results. I then typed in "camshaft, intake" which is, symbol for symbol, exactly the description of a part and it returned one result. This was done under the BA model filter.

Because it is a text search it takes the text string entered and passes it through to the search engine. It would be difficult to make it heuristic as the functions available within the database structure are a bit limited. Unfortunately, the use of descriptions like the one you have shown above are generally those used within the Ford system and they don't always make logical sense. The best option is generally to search with as few terms as possible as this minimises the possibility of missing a comma or some other form of punctuation that has been included in their description.
Cheers, Russ

I used it a few times but give up in frustration because of the terminology used ( and this was explained in a previous post) Therefore I think sections with part numbers that could then be used to search would be fantasic for blokes in a similar boat to me. Still a worthy tool to have.

There probably are other things hidden but they are probably supposed to be! The Altavista spider is the term given by vBulletin for any spider it can't recognise. Spiders are robotic tools that search the internet so that when you perform a google or similar seach the data can be retrieved. Cheers Russ

Like a few others I didn't know it existed but I think is a great idea and will be using it all the time and I agree with the picture idea but imagine it would be a lot of work but would be the icing on the cake so to speak.
Keep up the excellent work guys
