Well, i found out today that Richie Benaud's mother lives over the road from me. And get this, she's 100 years old. I can just hear him now, "Ahh, she's had a marvellous innings" or what about, "well, she's got her 1st century, marvellous effort that".

Probably have met or know most of the Federal MP's and the PM, met George Bush for a quarter of a second...

From motorsport; Dick Johnson, Colin Bond, Peter Brock, Alan Moffatt, Craig Lowndes, Mark Skaife, Nigel Mansell, Mark Larkham, Alan Grice and probably a few others...

Famous people that I wish I never met...
Paul Morris, Alan Jones
Christopher Skase used to do business with my dad and lived next door to us :S

I went to primary school with Anthony Callea and his brother, I've Met hugh jackman, his wife Deborra Lee, and I walked next to Nick Gainnopolous at the home show.

I was also at a club and said hello to Hung Le the comedian, who was standin on his own with a beer. I've met John Wood as well.

The lady who used to play Tom Croydons wife, and Pippa off home and away Came in to work once to buy a bottle of red wine. Quiet lady that, I didn't let on I knew her because I didn't think she'd like that so I kept quiet. She was very nice though.

Steven Kernahan also came to my school for a speech so I met him also. I sat and had dinner at the table next to shane crawford at the Portsea pub....

Thats about all i can think of... Oh, molly Meldrum as well, but i didn't meet him, he chucked me a glowstick when I was at heat nightclub..... :

I also forgot to Mention that I met Mark "chopper" Read in shoppingtown Doncaster with his wife. He seemed like a good bloke, got him to sign my DVD cover and he saw my braces that I had at the time and said "better look after them chompers mate or you'll have no f*ckin teeth like me!"

Had a laugh, said nice to meet you, that was it.

I sat next to Terry Wallace (Richmond coach) at the footy once. It was actually 1 week before he quit the Bulldogs.

John Farnham's son Rob was in my year level at school.

I was at the Presidents Cup golf in Melbourne a few years back and was walking in the path of George Bush and his 7 or 8 bodyguards. I didn't know it was him and as I got closer one of them pushed me out of the way. I was about to turn around and say 'what the f...?' Then I realised it was him. He still didn't have to be so aggressive.

I don't know how I forgot this one... I had to meet Dick Johnson at his house about 8 years ago. He was a hard man to pin down to an appointment... had to squeeze in between him going to the gym at 5am and an 8am meeting he had. Very nice man, he is!

I was walking back from the pits at Bathurst last year and ran into Skaife and Brock. They were on their way back to the garage. Also met Brad Jones and John Bowe.

I have also met Ted Bullpit.

I've been quite lucky. I know I will miss some here but my list includes:

Went to school with Guy Pearce and went to his birthday party.

Met Angry Anderson, Anthony Warlow, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, had backstage passes to Pink Floyds Momentary Lapse of Reason tour concerts and went out with them to a nightclub in Melbourne, AFL Footballers (do they count?), all the Ford V8 Race team members over the last 6 years, and some retired racers, worked with Sarah Jane - the model who claims to be the most downloaded woman on the internet (she is a really nice person actually)the list goes on, I don't know where to draw the line at 'celebrity'.

I sat next to David Hasselhoff on a plane trip from Miami to L.A when I was 9. I was a HUGE fan of Knight Rider at the time, and me being the shy character that I am, I didn't say a word!

Apart from that, I've met a couple of motorsporting legends, and I got to race against Glenn Seaton in go-karts at the last FF Raid!

Russell Ingall and he family drove past me once at my local shopping centre!
Dick Johnson and his son steve drove past me in blueprint DJR320 once.

Meet one of the stone bros at the SBR stand. I went all shy lol.

At indy, i sold Greg Murphy and Rick Kelly plush (2 scoobys and tweety!) toys from my work lol. I did have to tell them how they had ruined my sunday (bathurst) a couple a weeks before indy!

The lady who was going to be my god mother got married to lee kernigan!

Laurie Lawerence came to my school and gave us a big speach about something... all i remember is he making us to the "do the 5" dance :S

In the scooby doo movie, this tool that went to my school (and his even bigger tool of a brother Regis was in my grade) Remi Broadway, is this guy that in the training video, he crushes a cup and says i will break your bones or something when a guy bumps into him, and then on the "how you should of reacted bit" they sound like homie G's :yeees:

Warrick Capper was at a night club i go to (The Party) the other week :S it was gross.. he was wearing tight black pants (he looked straight out of the 80's, the music on the sunday is old rock music but he has no excuse!!) :S and he was dirty dancing with some ugly chicks, i did get a photo lol!

My dad gets to meet more famous people, owning a music instrument shop and all. Millencolin, Paris Hilton ( she bought a pink fender strat... and then came in the next day to buy a matching blue one LOL!), The Eagles, that lead guy from JAG, john english... and the drummer from savage garden used to teach drums at his store in brissie, and andrew G from channel V used to work for him. Mark Larkam is a customer as well. Theres heaps more but i cant remember all of them. My uncle works for Bert Newton and The Panel as the head sound guy. So he meets alot of celebs! Cant wait till i visit him

Also when i was younger, i went to the ARIA awards when the where held at dreamworld! We are even in a mag sitting behind John Farnum! And i keep stalking this hot young guitarist guy one time lol. Bumper cars with celebs is fun

When i worked at Dreamworld, Marty from big brother was in my que line on the giant drop and it didnt even register who it was!

Craig Horner from Totally Wild and the movie Blurred came in to my work once.

I think thats it! Nothing really spectacular.

One of my Dad's good mates was on our most popular Soap here, and in fact, he came and babysat me while he was on TV. The good thing about this is that while he was babysitting us he was on TV being a very bad babysitter.

Went on the Great Victorian Bike Ride 3 times in my teens. Our group came across 2 these girls - same age as us - 16 at the time. One of my mates was responsible for damaging their tent and they ended up sharing a tent for most of the ride with 2 of my mates (but they didn't get anywhere). One of the girls was Jennifer Adams (the newsreader) obviously well before she got into news.

craig lowndes came and spoke to us at school for 2 hours, i forgot what he was originally there for but he basically recounted events from v8 events, and john howard came to open a new building and shook my hand (yes, the highlight of my life, i know :P) a friend and i hummed the imperial march as howard and his 'posse' walked past us down the red carpet. dad had dinner with harrison ford once in england, and dad himself is the kid, Sonny, from Skippy so, that counts as well i guess

I have met lots of different famous people over the year but a few of the best were the ones that I didn't know who they were until afterwards.

Got really ****ed once on rum with Lee Kernigan at a Xmas party in Brisbane, I had no idea who he was as I don't listen to country music.
Spent several hours chatting up Kirsten Travis (sex in the city) in the Admirals Lounge at AA in LAX (failed miserably) again, no idea until the barman told me.
Spent several hours chatting up Debora Hutton on Hamilton Island (until Harry M. Miller turned up)
Had lunch made for me by Pauline Hansen at a friend's place in the Gold Coast (during the political era)
Sold Bo Derek a packet of chips and a bottle of coke when I was about 14.

But the best one was I was a "single guy" at a friend's wedding so she set me up with a "single girl" so we both would not be lonely. Her name was Amanda and she was really nice and friendly but I was sure I had seen her before.
I asked my friend who she was the next day.
She was one of the "Breaka" girls (one of the twins)..... Yeh I know...In my Dreams...

It is real embarrassing when afterward someone says, so what do you think of whomever and I say "who is that". Doh!
