No numb-nuts to the driver and to anyone that thinks cheering this sort of crap on is entertaining. The skill required is similar to that needed to stand on snails. Skill does not involve mounting kerbs, lunch drive-trains or frying tyres on a public Rd. Any halfwit in a VS Executive with crook rear shocks can produce equal mayhem, no skill and definitely no brains required.
All that was achieved was destruction of a fine vehicle, a tree etc.
Wasn't so song ago a tool in western Sydney killed someone pulling similar stunts.

lol, I think they call these type of guys ***-clowns. A clown that makes an *** of himself, in particular when trying to be a clown.

In some ways, the owner isn't 100% innocent. If you lend your car to someone (if anyone at all), you'd need to know how the guy drives.
What's with the engine bay melted though? I can count three loops on the road, not even a rotary overheats that quickly...

I'd like to know what was wrong with the car when he got it. Do a few skids and it overheats, munches the gearbox and basically self-destructs? Pathetic! He probably drove it into the tree on purpose :P

That person still has to be responsible and accountable.

With regards to the melted engine bay, notice how tight the circles are? and how black the lines are? This means the car was doing the circles very slowly meaning it was reving the crap out of itself. Now what we don't see, is that the first picture shows two tyre marks coming into the frame, we don't see where they came from... and what was going on there. There could be more circles and more straight lines....

To add insult to injury, is that a defect sticker on the front in the last picture? Like you could drive it without a gearbox and engine anyways : :.

Nah, not really, its all heresay - all it shows is a damaged xr8 with a bit of smoke - none of the alleged hooning.

The police report would be of more use.

This bloke has broken one of the golden rules in life. There are two things you never lend people, your car or your woman. It usually ends in tears.

Cheers, Danny

*EDIT* the tears would be for the car. :

Nicolas, Best you get a dictionary and look up the work FRAUD.

Committing this is an offence.

The honourable thing to do is contact his insurance company and show them the pictures. This abuse of our roads should not be tolerated!

It’s dickheads like this that are the reason our insurance premiums are so high. Hopefully you’ll eventually wise up on comments like this one. Nicholas, insurance companies don’t just pay out your claim when you have an accident. they generally hand the claim over to an insurance investigator who does everything in his power to find a loophole for the insurance company to avoid paying the claim. If they even have the slightest suspicion of fraud they also get the police involved. That’s the way it works and if someone is stupid enough to treat a nice car like this, then I seriously doubt they have the grey matter up top to fool the investigators and get away with it.

Cheers, Danny

Spot on. In my street a stolen car crashed into a parked car at about 4 am. The occupants did a runner. The insurance company *STILL* got an insurance investigator to look into it. Found this out because the poor person couldn't understand why he was sent a letter from a Private Investigator in Frankston when we live on the border of Preston.

You don't get it do you! Why should insurance pay, it was no accident the driver was stupid, the driver was breaking the law, the driver had been entrusted the vehicle by its owners, Why the hell should ANYONE cough up but the driver, as the registered owner you are still responsible! And if you loan your car to a moron like this one then you deserve some pain. Let the owner pursue the costs from his so called mate. The rest of us are not coughing up to pay for this moron's carnage!

And we the paying public have a right to report this fraud. It's the prevelance of this kind of act by so many that has the rest of us being treated like criminals. The more the scammers get taken down the more chance the rest of have of a fair go!!
