I now what you mean mate... however, it's not going to affect the integrity of the auction though if the car is being auctioned off with a reserve price (especially considering what the actual value of the vehical is).

I took the bidding from $6k to $28k, or whatever it was. I know ebays terms and conditions, and realise that if i was the highest bidder, I would have had to pay the $28k or so for the car. And YOU would not be laughing, I would be. I was just testing to see if it was a fire-sale - not taking advantage, but if it was a fire sale, why should I miss out on a cheap car. I stopped at a price I could afford, so when i said I was bumping it up, it wasn't as a favour to anyone other than me if I had've won it at that price - the bumping up merely referred to the fact that it was now out of my reach. I don't even know Cam, so how could you say I was doing him a favour? The only way you can do a real dummy bid on ebay is by knowing the reserve and forcing the price up to the reserve but not beyond? Or by going over and never taking delivery of the goods, because you were doing a mate a "favour". But what does that achieve? Nothing. Your mate pays the commission to ebay and then has to relist, which makes it look like you didn't pay!

You should speak of what you know, not what you think you know. :thebirds:

Cam - at least it is at a reasonable level now, so you should get your money's worth to go towards the next movie. All the best, andf I hope you make enough from the movie to buy the house, and the car!

It'd sure suck to sell the car but if you're doing something you really want with the money then it's a good thing. You can always buy another car.

BTW Brute6 - love the avatar. I have the rest of the pics of that chick and she's hot :sm_drool:

Just made the AU $47,700.00 bid. Bloody Betta.2 countered me immediately. GRRRRRRR

If I were CAM, i'd probably set the reserve around 60-62k. Bidding will probably only go to about 56-58k though.

We need funds to finish off the next movie.

Filming has now finished, so some lucky owner will take my pride and joy, it will be their turn to have some fun.

I've had so much enjoyment from this car, its the best I've ever owned by far.

I wonder what will replace it?

Auction ends Feb 25th.

cam

Awsome car CAM,

It's a shame to see a car go esp under the circumstances. Im considering selling mine atm so i can get the funds needed to start my own business, tired of working 6o hours a week for not much gain. I bet the missus wasn't real impressed when she found out you sold the house.
G'day XRQTOR - I see you had the same vision of making your own film, except I was watching 'running on empty' at the time. I think your one would be made by a company called 'KY Productions'. hehehe
