That would be Amanda Gillespie. From memory, that car was about #14.

Replying to...

"I thought I read somewhere that the first person to take public ownership of a BA GT was a women who purchased a Citric Acid one with black stripes. Obviously I was wrong. Is it worth more than another BAGT I'm not sure. It may do to a collector but I wouldn't imagine we aren't talking big money at this early stage. It may however make the car more desirable to someone who is looking for an 03 GT anyway, being a little more special in terms of history. The last Monaro was a bit different to this senario. The last Monaro is likely to be the last 'Aussie' built Monaro for a very long time. The last BA GT was simply the last of a model cycle but a new model has followed.

FPV via the official blueprint magazine say 0003 is the first FPV vehicle ever shipped - in the world. who cares where the rest come from, this is the first ever shipped, has to be a unique car.

It may be the 1st shipped to a dealer but to the public it may not of been as i do know that Amanda was the 1st of the public to get the keys to a BA GT.It was sold at Courtney and Patterson in Hielderberg.

Blueprint 3 has an article on her purchase, but it does state One of the 1st privately owned FPV GT's to be delivered.

That's the silver car I was referring to.Cornes bought it from Custom Service Leasing. That car is build no 1 as opposed to P1,which I understand stands for prototype. Not worth any more than build no 2,3,999 or any other one.

Here is the proof that it was the first FPV ever shipped it is listed in the milestone events for Ford and FPV. All I have been asking is, has anyone got any ideas how to get this car a good home.

Yep .. that was the original question.
I'd stick with early responses, and auction. Either online (eBay) or "real life" .. eg. Shannons, etc. The "real life" auction will keep the morons and professional hagglers away .. unlike a private sale.

He didn't. He didn't suggest swapping for a phoon either!

Best way to get it gone is to get it on Carsales, Carpoint & park it somewhere with a sign on it.

I don't usually reccomend Carsales but I would imagine that just about anyone looking for a used FPV would look there. It's where I got mine!

So your information would be right as it matches the one I saw. It was also pre MK2 when I saw it
The car in Canberra is Acid Rush Bucky, you have changed colours.

Gregory's also had a Blueprint P# numbered GT which was used as a journo test car, had a few things different inside like the cluster. They were trying to get too much for it I think, don't know what eventually happened to it but they got it from an internal Ford dealer auction.

If you think your car is special and worth more for a reason, a decent auction house is the way to go, where the collectors go to find good cars and they can talk it up properly for you.

That was David Flints car afaik. It was build no 1 (not P) & was lightning strike with orange stripes (I think it had stripes).

I think it was Tony Chesterman who told me that David's car was going to be Blood Orange but he changed his mind after seeing the silver with orange stripes.

Geoff Polites had GTP build no 1.

I'm not sure whether the numbering will help at all. FPV restart the numbering with every model update anyhow.

I can't recall any GT of old attracting a premium price because it was the first public one sold.

I have a one off build 2003 BA GT. Its uniqueness doesn't necessarily add to its value, it may only help it sell more easily.

yes i know its an old thread but I have seen GT-0003 forsale and its not red, its Vibe! its not very original as its got FG decals and aftermarket rims but they still want top dollar for it
trying to work out if its real or a fake as I think Vibe came out later in the production run.

So it is the oldest BA GT? Has lowish km and is a good colour (not one of the bad ones). Provided it is in great condition with full service history I'd say $20-30k.

Hi, If you have a look on the Introduction page under the heading Milestone Events there is mention of first GT shipped from FPV with the sido number and date. I still think this is in issue one. I think this may be my car.
