You will realise the true meaning of uneconomical after you get a bit frisky with your right foot in the V8 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5.7 L of V8 can't be a bad thing in either camp........ :evil3:
Good luck with your part time job for paying for the fuel...... :

Its an auto btw, and ive had it checked out by work, clean as. Build number 194. Gave it a bit of a blat, jeeeeez the noise is good! Think I'll come down to Heathcote next time and give it a run.

Couldnt resist it at the price, and I've always had a soft spot for the aussie stroker motors, real grunty beasts!

Only complaint with it: now I'll have to join up Street Commodores forums.. theres so many nuff nuffs over there.. : Thank god I found FF first...

:
Just make sure you stick around here too then. There's not an awful lot of difference between a Ford 302 and GMH 304 (in terms of what works to get better power etc), and the 5.7 is just a stroked 5 litre, so you've already gone the first major step in performance hunt anyway.

You will be one of the few sensible Holden blokes on AFF!

Im kind of a fence sitter.. love both Ford and Holden, both have some great cars. And some real dungers... *cough EA/VN cough*

Pics coming soon... I pick her up tomorrow.

Street Commodores is nowhere near the caliber of AFF.. its rather immature. 2 MuCh SmS Sp34K 4 MI t4sTe :

I've been thinking about this a bit, and if my old man had of had Holdens when I was growing up, I know which way I would have gone!

Each to their own, but I own 2 AUs!

The only Holden I've owned was a Gemini Front Wheel Drive which I inherited through marriage. It was gone soon after!

Every car I have purchased with my own dollars has worn the blue oval.

89 KE Laser (new)
95 KJ Laser (third owner)
99 Futura (second owner)
01 SR (second owner)

BTW XR springs went into the front this arvo, the rears will have to wait as we ran out of time, and light! LOL! Next weekend hopefully!

About time too. Did it drop it much?

BLC - was it you that wanted the little black triangle things for the front bar? If so, I have 2 available. But maybe you don't need them for the GTS!

Haven't measured actually but visibly different. At one stage, there was an XR spring on the right and the stocker on the left! Quite lopsided! I didn't get a pic though : because Ali's ute was in the way. Would've been a great shot. LOL!

*GK runs outside in pj's in the dark with tapemeasure!*

The verdict? Was 690mm now 674mm. 16 mm drop. It was a little uneven and I suspect they'll settle a little more. We'll see!
