The thing is too, that sometimes people DO make mistakes & it could have been an honest mistake that the wrong part was ordered in. Did you ask them to order in the right part after that or just wrote them off completely?
Talking to the salesman about DBA rotors for like 10 minutes, after I said that i will order 2 dba rotors I asked him what I was getting, he said 2 slotted dba rotors man.

Best one of all is when i went for a job at Motoquip, the store manager asked me to find a few items in catalogue's, mainly filters, plugs etc.
Then she asked me to find the part no for a grey XF dashmat.
I asked if she wanted the Falcon or the Ghia to which her reply was "they are the same part"
No they arent i said, to which she challenged my opinion and was quickly put back in her box when i told her the Ghia has a longer instrument cluster which includes the trip meter etc. and so has a different mould for the mat(same as ZL etc.).
Not bad for a lady that owns 3 stores and thought she knew it all!
Ha ha, did you end up getting the job?

People make mistakes, get over it.

Autobarn up here are great to deal with, I only buy car cleaning gear off them but they are the only ones that actually work 7 days, most car mobs around slacks creek are lucky to open Saturday mornings let alone Sundays aswell. As for supercheap, they are also pretty decent but dont carry the stock or the brands, and getting help in one of their stores is like trying to test drive a VE Commodore with a Ford shirt on.

As a store manger at Repco let me just say you are better of dealing with a company such as Repco who not only can get everything in from Rocket Industries etc but also deal direct with the major brands. That way you get cheaper prices and a bloke who knows what he's on about. Autobarn, Autopro and Supercheap are more showroom orientated and know very little about the hard parts side of the business.

Yes as a matter of fact and was made manager of one of the stores after only 2 weeks.

Didn't stay long though, she had no idea!
It must have been for tax dodging that she ran the joint cos she didn't know a tie rod end from a ball joint.

When will people learn???

My $100 note had a split in it the other day - I think we should all hate $100 notes - they are ALL useless.

What we should all remember is that like a number of stores these days they (Autobarn) are a Franchise.
