Ever been to a comedy club like that? Heckers or people who are disruptive get an absolute pasting from the comedian. This is no different, its pretty much an unwritten law that stuff like that goes on. If you find a simple word offensive in that situation then get thicker skin. Its not like he was screaming it at a church or something.

Obviously no one here has been to an 'ADULT' comedy night, that's right where the kids stay at home (silly on my part to assume many adults here), as was just said it is expected of the comedian to absolutely come down on any hecklers. A good example if you don't get out much is to watch Champagne Comedy on C31 in Melbourne and wait till someone gets a bit of stick from the comedians for being disruptive to there routines.

The thing that really amazes me though is how many of you seem to be so offended by what Kramer said and yet when the black guy (oops African American of colored descent) calls him a mother f'n cracker a**, no one seems to take offence.

Who is the greater racist in this, Kramer for having some fun with an interupting heckler or the heckler who doesn't have any recourse but to be just as offensive if not more.

Even the others in the audience who 'oooh' at their disapproval of Kramers use of the N word don't seem to bothered at a black guy showing just how racist he is.

Raid YouTube for the "Bill Hicks - Freebird Heckler" clip. It's one of my favourite retaliations to a heckler purely because Bill Hicks was the master at upsetting people, and goes so far out of his way to come down on the knob jockey who interrupts his show. Some of the things are pretty offensive, but who in the crowd seems to care?

I take Michael Richards attack no differently. As has been stated, when some jerkoff comes to a show and sets out to interrupt the comedian, trying to look like a hero, it seems to be almost an unspoken rule that he (or she) MUST cop whatever can be thrown at them. No sympathy for the clown who so clearly was upset by someone yelling at him, regardless of what was said. That's what you get for being a loud mouthed fool.

I've been to many comedy shows, and i've never seen one that got out of hand like this. Kramer may have not intended it to such consequences (as can be seen by poeple leaving, and in the end leaving himself), but it's totally evident that he put his foot in it, on a personal level.

Where does it go from here? Someone kills kramer because he made comments about his group. Is that justified? Ok lets try to kill all the non whites. Then we can try kill all the non christians. Then try to kill all the non catholics. Then kill all the non english speaking catholics. Then kill all the catholics who do not go to church 6 hours every day.

All humans have the right to be TREATED equally but we are not all equal. We never will be. This is just plain medical fact.

We are not a minority, well white people anyway, hang on back the fk up, the numbers might say otherwise, over 2 billion people in just India and China alone, don't know the numbers of black Africans in Africa(safe to say though it would be a lot). Not forgetting the African Sth Americans, the Pacific Islanders, all of the 'small' asian countries, although small in land mass most have far greater numbers of people than Australia, which is not exactly 'white only' either.

Then as Tony(Flappist) said the subgroups of 'white bread'' - European, both east and west, Scandinavian, Latin/Latino, Slavic, Middle Eastern (although technically asian) then the English and all the little segments their as well.

So have another think about who are the real minority and stop apologising for some PC 90's crap.

I remember high scholl(barely but have some flash backs) the guys I used to hang with were a huge mix of nations and colors, so don't someone jump on the racist bandwagon and start painting me. The thing that I remember most was how much crap we gave to each other, none of us got too sooky about it, grow up and enter the real world, leave fantasy for the books.

Simply stating the facts, we have always thought of Blacks, Asians, Indians as a minority, but the funny thing is that they are far from a minority on the world stage.

I don't take offense to be called a cracker *** or white boy (although Michael Richards didn't like it!)- I don't even know what it implies to be honest, but there are historical racial ties to the word which obviously offends people. I don't know why black people call each other the name, I think maybe it's poking fun of the term like a cruel irony- probably why it doesn't sound as harsh coming from a fellow black person. Like calling someone fat when you're even fatter yourself.........

There's too many arguments but it was wrong to do what he did. A true professional comic could have come up with a better response to someone "disturbing" his show- which ironically, they need to appear better by the ability to ad lib etc (it's always better when you go to these show and they poke fun at someone there, but there are lines that shouldn't be crossed) I remember going to one and the only two seats left were right in front of the stage (worst place to be at a comedy night) and I had all the jokes about what a good-looking girl was doing with an ugly bastard like me and all that stuff........

Anyway, I don't think Michael Richards will do many un-scripted shows from now on...... lol
