Man don't go GT stripes... they look tacky as imo. Sometimes, less is more. It'd look unreal lowered to superlows imo.

aftermarket tail lights look pretty good on the AU, bought mine for $140 off Ebay and that included postage

Here are some of my suggestions:

1) Clear repeaters (as mentioned)
2) XR6 Spoiler (double lip) i think there called that, could be very wrong on that lol
3) Paint the brake calipers (as mentioned)
4) Change your rocker cover to a different colour
5) A respectable lowering job - possibly remove mudflaps
6) Re do interior in leather and have custom writing stitching
7) Possibly whitewalls but that might be too old school

All this quite obviously depends on your budget but its a good and maybe abit on the expensive side but indeed would personalise your vehicle from the rest.

yeah always depends on your budget or your wife (not sure which is worse)

mine has been a budget build right from the start..

Started of with an AU ex-taxi and went from there.
here is a before and after photo to give you an idea on what I had to work with

another thought could be s2 or 3 bonnet/front bar assembly. perhaps with twin light setup and t series front bar. gives an awesome "face" on the au and works well with the lower stance. of course that may be getting a little bit pricey, but then again, once the mod bug bites, what mod isnt expensive!!

Just do it all bit by bit ... that's what I have done over the last 18 months ... it keeps adding up over time.

I just compiled a list of different bits and piece from others ideas (mainly from LG originally) ... I still have to do my door trims though (as I said ... always something to do).

A lot of people will give different opinions on different mods though ... and some people will not agree with mods you make ... but it is what you like ... and what you want for your vehicle.

Yeah True Mechanik , I want it to look classy but still sporty. Hard to do i suppose 012's TS50 is a really good example.

I thought instead of getting aftermarket lights, having the original ones tinted maybe

I think all it needs is AU2/3 rear taillights, ( aftermarket lights look tacky and cheapen the AU **** end IMO) clear side repeaters, SL springs, chrome exhaust tip and darken under the wheel arches. Just what most others have said.
This way it won't look overdone and wont reflect

that depends on what lights you get for the rear, there are about 4 different ones making the rounds at the moment.

latest pic with the spoiler

Man I am sick to bloody death of people calling aftermarket tail lights rice! People who do it are just *******. Any mod has the potential to look good on the right car, I have seen the black tailights that AU99 and I have on 3 different coloured cars now (Silver, White and Red) and they look great on all.

This post is for ideas for things to do to his car, not for people to put **** on the ideas that are given to him. If he likes an idea, then it's perogorative to use that idea, if he doesn't, then its also his perogorative to not use it.

Jesus mate, you what 35? Don't you think it's time you acted it?

LOL Flame war :P
nah... betta not

The After market lights look nice on some cars. but i dunno if the dark green would look great with them. I think what i might do is Tint them to the darkest legal tint so they just blend into the car? Maybe

but if i find a set of Under Stated After market lights ill go for em.
i just dont want anything to Chrome or Shiny or bling

thats why I didnt go the chrome ones, they kinda look tacky looking (my opinion) but the black ones look a hell of alot better. possible they would look even more subtle on a darker car and at $145 including postage on ebay, well thats hard to turn away from.

They are on there for $123 buy it now and $22 postage, what would of S2 tail lights set you back from a wreckers?? wouldnt be far off that would they?

My car is oxford green and it came with shadow chrome taillights it looked cheap. So I got some series 2/3 lights and in my opinion looks much better.

If that was my car and I was buying aftermarket tailights, I would gone the black for sure, would've looked great with the 2nd tier of the spoiler....
