I just realised, it is not legal to "wall in" your gas tank. It needs to be accessible in an emergency, and having it like this is defectable. Your car and your life though, and it does look neat and tidy.

I've built side walls in my boot which just sit there nice and snug, no screws, no bolts. So I'm sure if you build something that has no screws or bolts and can be just pulled out it wouldn't be illegal. My side walls have never fallen out, there nice and tight but still easy to pull out by hand.

yeah i knew that actually. pritty soon (school holidays) i am going to to take it out and put it on a hinge and put a little 'access to gas tank' sign there. so then it is clearly visible to police/ fireies if there is an emengency.

Good idea. Once you've done it, I may just have to copy, if it works well, and still looks good!

hello everyone again its been a while since i have updated this thread. i have spent a bit of money on a few extra things for it. i have put a new steering wheel- with the ea-ed boss kit (steering wheel addaptor), volt gauge mounded in dash, and as of yesterday custom made angel lights (yes the bmw type ones) ;)

next week im going to get the bonnet and front bar sprayed and the body touched up ready for all the car shows next year (and i get my p's).

i will be taking a while off work for exams so no mods will be happening during this time (saving money for schoolies). although i might do one of those home made electronic shift kits.

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO COMMENT- GOOD OR BAD, I DONT MID

and finally the pics:

Headlights look good at night, but I'm not a fan of how they look during the day.

Hot a fan of the headlights...may look better during the day though.
The gauge I feel doesn't sit right in the dash. It doesn't suit. Either does the steering wheel. It looks racey, but nothing else in the car does...

Sorry I don't feel the same way about it that you do...

Hopefully the respray at the front will bring it right up!

Now moved to where this thread really belongs.

Quiet times with the car these days. studying for exams has left me no time to do anything with the car + the financial situation with me isnt too good lol. after exams i will be working my *** off to get some money so i can get the car up to scratch for the geelong show. i have some good plans for this car in the next 5 months although im not going to say, just incase i dont get them all done!! ;)
