I have posted these previously, but may as well show again.

Not my car. Mates 03 Pursuit. Car was not a write off, repaired and back on the road after $15,000 + in damages for repairs. Car is long gone now. Never missed a beat, repair job was fantastic. No creaks or squeeks or rattles. Roof was replaced. Car had bent the chasis rails as well. All this from 1 Kangaroo.

Maroon EA Falcon - Slid into the pole at speed, driver decided it was uncool to wear a seatbelt.

Green VR Commodore - Though it'd be fun to lead cops on a pursuit then even when they gave up and called it off, decided to still play speed racer.

White Toyota Yaris - Long journey, boring straight road...

Green Pulsar - This is what happens when you pull out in front of a bike skidding on its side.

White Subaru - Vs. some railway sleeper buried up right in the ground, plus the industrial strength horse fence.

that AU wagon on the armco railing was bought and repaired by the hillier bros. they're coach builders and have made some pretty awesome cars....namely the au coupes, and the EL ute

anyway, this is what happens when you turn left into a carpark and the guy behind thinks it'd be a wise move to "undertake" you

This car was bought by Hillier conversions in Tenterfield (makers of the first AU hardtop) and rebuilt. However just to prove what car it was they kept the tailgate with the outward dent. Nice touch.

this was my mates nissan cefiro. he was going around a corner in the adelaide hills when the rear end of his car slid out due to wet roads and 2 way differential. he held it constant around the bend on the wrong side of the road, but a vy commodore was coming around. they hit almost head on. my mate driving got out of the car but my other friend his passenger fractured a disc in his spine. he required the jaws of life to get him out. his is fine now and still off work.

This is what happens when you give you're wife a car that's too powerfull for her.

^^Notice the gap at the top of the dash that's not meant to be there.
Engine buckled fire wall and dash came away from it. The part of the console covered by the air bag is smashed to pieces too.

^^Notice both rear wheels toe in. Gearbox, tail shaft and diff centre went backwards with the engine and I could see into the diff centre through the gaps where the axle tubes had come away.

The Laser, after our neighbours astra hit it head on in our street- coming back from dropping my bro of at school, happened litrally infront of the house! (neighbours fault, she cut the corner and didnt see the laser coming in the other direction - frosted windows was the excuse)

this is the place where it happened, the impact area is about where the junk on the road is, infront of that white pole with the reflector

here is the damage

this happened sometime june/july last year, cars all fixed now

Story behind the kangaroo photo that was taken off. ( I have no problem with that ) Photo was taken just after dawn on the Stuart Hwy. We had driven all night with no problems, and then this dumb hoppy shoots out in front of us. We had absolutely no chance of stopping. So I just jumped on the brakes held the car in a straight line and hoped for the best. As some might have seen Mr Skippy got well caught up in the smart bar. It took my wife and myself about 20 minutes to pull the bugger out. Ended up using a tyre lever.

As for kiddies sensabilities, my 4 year old daughter was sleeping in the back seat. She got out of the car to see what had happened, you wouldn't belive the noise that this thing made!! The only thing she cared about was the fact that the noise and all the comotion woke her up. "Stupid Skippy" was her comment. I think she got that from me.

Anyway the picture is in my album on this site, has been for a year or so now if any one is interested in going hunting.

As some have suggested, you should accelerate if you think that you are going to hit a roo........ Never before have I heard such BS. The main thing is to stay straight and in control.

Cheers all.

The photo XR6Martin posted should serve as a warning of what can happen if you drive like a ********. My wife worked with them both.
My little roll over. Fell asleep at the wheel and rolled end over end 6 times. Walked away unhurt.

If a kangaroo hopped out in front of my car it would be ****** regardless of what speed or what angle : Insurance would hate the repair bill!

Wow .... all that due to wet roads and 2 way differential!! I would have thought that was due to the drivers foot on the accelerator :hihi:
