Are they decent cars? Yes. Ive only driven the base model with the 2 litre as a loan car a few years ago. Well built, decently equipped and go pretty hard. Good value? Probably not.. They werent sold here very long and weren't that popular. Kind of like the Mitsi 380.. Great car, at the wrong time.

I'm awfully temped on a new/Demo M2 or an early G80 M3 (wagon preferred). I've never been much of a BMW/M guy but after a few passenger runs in a Modded G80 (Dump pipe, exhaust, intake, tune) im a little in love.. would mean selling both the Redline and Sorento daily but goddam its tempting... Isle of Man Green tourer for me please...lol..

B D, Sorento easy to let go but I'm sure not so easy the SSV.
I have the luxury of not having to let go of my Ford prides but the day will come.
I have a couple of BM's, MSport optioned versions, enjoyed them alot I can't say let me down.
Had a 330iMsport wagon, fun.
True M's and Competitions, next level brilliant.
I've come awful close going late model M2's - they are the M3 of the ol days imo BUT wow, M3's are still ducks guts luv em.
That green is horn haha.
Like I said we only live once, hard to let go thats our damn heads but you wouldn't regret it once behind the wheel.

They currently seem well priced. Not sure I'd go for the hatch, but the wagons look ok.
Can pick up a 2020 model, with modest k's for under $20k. They mostly seem to be the 2.0L turbo, but I've see the 6's also.

I mean personally, I'd still prefer a Falcon, but to get one under $20k, they're high k, plus 5 years older.

Yeah maybe, but not a high km VE lowered on shit aftermarket rims. Guaranteed the interior is falling apart too.

Overheard someone at work, reckons he had a modified daily driven VR Clubsport build number #1 and was offered $280k for it.

What are “project” HQ sedans actually selling for?

I’ve a suspicion that someone I know has overpaid.

The word project will be considered..........Couple of good near rust free ones go from 12 to 25 depending on completeness.

Rusty plenum, gutters, rockers and rear quarters, missing pieces 2 to 9.

Hmm, maybe he didn’t overpay in the current market. Bottoms of rear quarters are perforated, scuttle area looks sound as does roof.

Still, I wonder if these project cars will eventually drop in value given the actual cost of outsourced works to complete - not overlooking the paucity of trades, either.

Perusing HQ to WB vans of late has shown up some well overpriced junk so far.

Recent examples,

12K for a totally rusted out ex show van.

5K for a rusty out rolling shell.

33K for a perfectly restored 202 3 on the floor ex SCC HZ (my pick)

65K to 100k for Sandman copies to the real deal.

Restorable utes seem a little cheaper than the sedans.

1 tonners are good value IMO.

Beauty of the commercials are the full chassis which holds up well to rust and time the half roll out chassis of the sedans and wagons is not a bad bonus to upgrade with as with Chevy stuff.

Came across this, in NSW.

Looks very tidy and original for $3,500.

The red is a bit much, but I'm almost tempted..

Not all do depending on location but at $3 000 complete or otherwise I would expect it (big time) in seriously hard to fix area's.

Now that is a good value car, will sell very quickly I expect. Very surprised how tidy the interior is, they usually flog out very quickly.

I must admit, I thought it was an V8 at first, I didn't look close enough. Would love a white two tone WL V8 statesman. OTR, headers, cats, exhaust, mafles tune and away you go. Get so much more bang for buck than the windsor. Would be my ultimate daily besides a V8 Sportman in two tone white or burgendy.
