Appliances that auto turn-off after a short period without any way to de-select such a function. Drives me nuts!

Geez.... I hate that there isnt an bloodline eradication program for the idiots who came up with brilliant ideas like needing to remove the entire pedal box just to replace the accelerator pedal module in a B series Falcon....

That is my pet hate, engineers doing stupid designs and us tradies having to do maintenance/repairs that should be simple instead of being complicated and time consuming.

Two days past rego inspection and my ute’s headlight stalk has failed. No dipped or high beam (excluding flash). It will be the one wire that wasn’t broken last time I repaired it. :-(

True. But a sinking feeling to hop in at night, twiddle the stalk and it’s only Dim City. Headlight control wiring wasn’t one of the B-series’ stronger points. AU is far better.

Cue the “Lucas headlight switch” joke. If the next repair doesn’t last, I’ll be seriously tempted to put in a “Grandpa” mod for high and dipped lights, with centre off toggle switch. |

The K125 has a dash mounted switch for clearance, a switch for parkers, a switch for headlights, the good old foot switch for highbeam and the bolt on signalstat stalk for indicators. Classic. Lucas would be proud.

A whinge about Coles.
Was buying Pistachio Nuts they have 400gram packs for $9 and 750gram for $18.00. The 400gr packs were not on special. Isn't buying a larger quantity normally cheaper? I also wanted some National Pies the two Coles Supermarkets that are standalone do not sell National Pies and the Coles Supermarkets that have Woolworths Supermarkets in the same shopping centre sell National Pies. One of the standalone Coles is huge and is often touted as being a Flagship store. All the Woolworths in the area sell National Pies. |

I usually buy a 1.1 kg of mixed imported nuts at Cole’s 16/20$ depending if it’s specialed and then buy say a 400 g of oz pecans at Aldi pecans sourced from Northern Rivers NSW. If I can’t be bothered going to Aldi I ll go to Coles baking aisle and buy smaller packs of oz pecans there - I just work out the kg pricing and buy the cheapest. I must check on those nuts you buy / read they have specific health benefits - pistachios. |

At the Coles Stores near me these nuts are in the Fruit and Vegetable section. Woolies also have similar. https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/p...roasted-salted Last time I got these from Woolies they were in a different part of the Store from the brand name nuts. Edit: the 600ml bottles in the refrigerated section are always more expensive than both the 1.25L and 2.0L.

Yeah, and that makes sense (sort of) coz there's expense in cooling the bottles, but in the pic above, both of these are unchilled products. And neither on special, either.
