87 new cases for Australia and 59 deaths sees the CMR rise to 2.820% while active drop to 3,230. It should be noted that only 9 of those deaths were recorded yesterday with the remaining 50 being aged care deaths that were not reported during July and August. NSW recorded 8 cases with the balance in Victoria.

5 new cases and 1 deaths for NZ so CMR is 1.304% and active cases drop to 111.

The UK had 1,940 new cases and as we know they are now not counting their mortalities by the WHO guidelines we are going to ignore those figures.

Just over 44.5k new cases in the USA yesterday and 1,094 deaths sees CMR drop to 3.016% and active cases drop to 40.2% with the raw numbers actually dropping. Note that the USA is actually minus one day due to time differences.

Other notable points:
The USA completes 85M, India 46M, Italy 9M, France 8M and Morocco 2M tests;
India passes 4M cases;
Asia records a new daily high of 114,956 new cases;
Europe records a new daily high of 35,220 new cases (the higher figure from yesterday was amended downward);

Palestine (671), Libya (672), Czechia (797), Paraguay (821), Costa Rica (1,222), Nepal (1,359), Ukraine (2,723), Iraq (5,036) and India (87,115) all recorded new daily highs; those in blue for the second consecutive day and those in red for a third or more consecutive day.

In Victoria, wearing a mask is not required while doing hard, physical work. I do not wear one at work, (work alone anyway) however, I have one on my hat for when I go into a shop etc.

I watched the conference yesterday when the 59 deaths were announced. Copping a beating from the media I was thinking Dan was about to say '**** this' and mic drop . How much clearer could it be they are not new deaths. F*** me dead how many times do they have to be told.

Self fulfilling prophecy

If your Christmas tree is being sent by Australia Post then order two of them and hopefully one gets to you by Christmas 2021

There's more police than protestors - easy day of OT today for Vic Police.

No idea - Spring Street on the steps of parliament would have been a better location IMO.

"You can't lock down five million people in Melbourne because you have a certain number of healthcare workers who are contracting COVID-19," Deakin University epidemiologist Professor Catherine Bennett said. "We have to find a way to shut down that transmission or stop the spread in those workplaces."

Melbourne University epidemiologist Professor James McCaw broadly agreed, saying there was now "very little circulation within the general community", and adding that it was "very reasonable" to question whether extending Melbourne's stage four lockdown beyond September 13 was the best option.

I've been out on a few protests before years ago, there's better ways to try get the message across.

My issues are mostly:

- Infringing on rights, freedom of assembly is a cornerstone of our democracy
- Heavy handed approach from Victoria Police
- Picking and choosing who they use these laws against (BLM sanctioned, Anti lockdown is the devil)
- Unelected official with the power to call off parliament from sitting (CHO) undermining our democracy

I'd rather they do social media campaigns, take part in initiatives like David Limbrick's noise campaign and contact their local MP - it's not wise to try fight the state government on its terms given current circumstances though given their penchant for heavy handedness and how they pick and choose who they enforce their powers on the optics are always horrible, the media picks it up, it gets international attention and it brings it to the attention of legal groups and the like.

If you make noise on an electoral level in numbers they'll react, Broadmeadows is a traditional and very strong ALP seat, they can make noise and threaten that.

Most Australians don't participate or take interest in politics - that apathetic attitude are the reason we have B grade politicians who decide to bring out the sledgehammer.

But I still support their right to go on their silly freedom protest/walks regardless of the message.

And there we have it, "covid deniers and anti semetic protesters" according to a blurrant affairs.

I'm not for these protesters, but when the leftist media blatantly lies on their own show I personally wish them an expedient demise.

Protesters that have been in isolation are suddenly spreaders of covid, with no mention of police, whom are constantly exposed to the possibility of contracting covid don't even rate a mention.

Time to lift stage 4 to stage 3 with minimal exemptions.
Polish the rust, get the wheels in motion and let lives be lived. The way we are going, and the expectations the gov have with this disease, we could be in lockdown jail indefinitely.

Franco, saw you in the Reddit thread, go check out an old movie 'Malcolm' they did in the 80's I think, about 40 years ago. Compare with that vid (which was great)
They also do an interesting conversion to a hatchback in the movie...
