I've just picked up an 04 BA Fairlane Ghia 6cyl.... Got a few questions that you people might be able to help with.... 1. Does a BA wagon rear door fit on the Fairlane???? 2. Will a 04 BA XR6 instrument cluster work in the Fairlane??? Any help with this would be appreciated thankyou. |

Hey folks .. I recently bought a 10/04 XR8 ute - as a long term keeper ..
I've been away from the brand as a daily driver for the better part of 35 years, with my previous two drives a restored 38 Ford ute and a 48 Pilot. I've always been around motors and always looked at ways to achieve good performance and mileage; so the latest acquisition will be no differed ... lots of good air in must equal the same amount out and the old battle of how to most efficiently achieve that . I'm looking forward to interacting and learning more from the font of knowledge .. Many thanks Greg S Last edited by Fatenhappy; 13-11-2020 at 10:50 AM. |

Gday to all FORD people out there. I'm Harley Davo ,I live near Bundy ( good rum up here)and have been driving FORD POWER for over 40 years, XY, ZA, XB, XD , XP and current is 04 BA 6cyl 5sp manual which is a good all rounder work horse and daily driver. I've had a few of the Generals best over the years that include HK HT Munros and SLR5000 , but I always get drawn back to the FORDS for 1 reason, FORDS are so much nicer to drive, simple as that, smoother and more comfy. And they go pretty good too. I love the Barra 6 cyl and arguably Ford's best motor. I think the Barra has as much grunt than any of my old Cleveland 351s or 302s .I love the old FORDS, but I love em all, just like blondes , brunettes and redheads, the more the merrier. 🍻 cheers to all.

Gday all,
I’m Lachlan, I’m a heavy vehicle mechanic from Berwick Victoria. I’ve always been a ford bloke and always will be. My current rigs are a 2006 mercury silver bf xr6 4spd auto n/a Ute I’ve nicknamed trouble for being a constant pain in the a** but I love it. And a 1978 pine n’ lime Xc falcon 500 wagon with a 3spd auto and 250, that is my project car when I get the time. Past cars include an xf falcon Ute 4spd 250, xd sedan 3spd auto, xe spack wagon 3spd auto 250 and an el spack wagon 4spd auto and 4lt. (El spack was just stickers and mags haha) I’m looking forward to being a part of the ford forums family. Who knows I might even find out what’s wrong with trouble along the way Cheers Lachie |

Hi folks, Sparky1 here I'm happy to have been accepted to the group.
I've been a ford fan from T model on wards, American, English, Canadian and of course Australian! I bought an FGX XR6 new at the start of 2016. I haven't had a single thing wrong with it. I recently had a small ding repaired at the front, and passenger's side headlight replaced. I also had the rear bumper replaced. About a week after picking it up from the panel beaters, I got a park aid fail message, press select (message and triangular warning symbol display for about 1 second). All 6 sensors work okay, but I get the message occasionally. Has anyone had a similar experience? I would appreciate your assistance. Regards Sparky1 |

Thanks for the Ad guys, I currently drive a [PK Ranger] if I am Not in my Ford [Maverick Wagon], before that I had a [XA coupe] for 19 years, Before that a [XB sedan], before that a [XW Panel Van]. If I had my wish the, XY Van and the XA coupe would be still in the stable, I'm thinking about buying a [AU Option 20], a bit torn I'll probably have to loose the Maverick to make room, I need the PK to tow my 2 ton camper trailer.

G'day everyone, joined the forum around 4 years ago when I bought a BF XR6. This forum is a treasure for anyone with basic knowledge about cars and the technical documents, wiring diagrams are very helpful to tackle big and small jobs.
Just sold my XR6 after doing a lot of work like dual zone climate conversion (dash out job), bushes and replacing three roof liners ;) etc etc Now bought a territory as needed 7 seats. Not as quick and comfy like the XR6 but definitely spacious and obviously comes with genetic defects. Still enjoyable without stress as I can deal with most of the issues by myself. |

Hi, old fart Kiwi here (miss-spent my 20's up and down the east coast of Oz in the 80's as roadie). Fond memories of the yellow XC hardtop I owned in Brizzie.
I'll be lurking hereabouts while waiting for the recently purchased left-hook '40 Deluxe tudor rod to arrive in NZ from Tennessee (March 2021 hopefully). My other car's a V8 Holden ute. |

Hey everyone, literally just joined ford forums.
Im in sydney and own a 2015 fgx xr6t. First ford ive ever owned...drive a mates xr6t and just had to get one...finally did it. I have a tonne of questions about performance and costs but first just wanted to know your recommendations on where to get my car serviced? Its out of warranty now so still at a Ford dealer or somewhere else that does a good honest job without burning a hole in my pockey? Thanks heaps... No doubt ive probably posted in the wrong section of the site (sorry brand new to this) so just let me know if im doing it all wrong... |

G-Day everyone,
So I've owned Fords, Holdens, Chryslers and Audi's and always found it difficult to find E85 fuel including my fellow car enthusiasts. So I took the time to make a group on Facebook E85 Locations Australia, which you can get to via my page http://www.facebook.com/E85FillerAustralia Look for a join group tag then answer some simple questions and you're in. The members are proactive about letting me know when new location are found and locations that have stopped supplying E85. Our page is where people sell, buy and trouble shoot any problems related to E85 or how to turn your whip i to an E85 fire breather. Share this thread around to all that need fueling location right across Australia.

Hi All,
I have just registered and not sure where to enquire for the following. Back in 1974 my Dad became the owner of a XB GT 351 coupe purchased from Duhig Ford in Essendon Victoria. It was the best being picked up from school in the beast. It was red with a black half-roof vinyl and sun roof. The original rego was ,and I am not sure of the number but started with RD-??? which was 'Ray Duhig' who bought it for himself but the story from Dad was it had no power steering and he put it back on the showroom floor. Dad had always been a customer of the then Airline Motors in Essendon,XM Falcon,XR,Xw and then the GT from Duhigs. Dad passed away in 1985 and Mum was left the the GT. It was a bit much for her to drive so my brother and I decided to sell it as we did not have the money to purchase it ourselves. If only we had known!! It was sold to a father and son and they took it immediately as it was original in every way.At that time Mum lived in Sunbury,Vic. The last rego it had was ICC-082. Would not know the VIN. My question is to all is how would I trace the vehicle to where it might be today and possibly reacquaint. |

Hi folks. I"ve been a member for a while but just getting involved now. My first Ford was an EF Falcon Wagon which I bought second hand with about 50,000kms on the clock. Used it for work for 5 years (30,000kms a year) with no major problems. My second Ford was a 2004 SX Territory, which I bought in 2010 with 100,000kms on the clock, ran for 9 years, low mileage due to retiring before passing it on to my son and bought a 2010 SYII Territory with only 70,000kms on the clock. This year my daughter also bought a 2010 SYII Territory. Love our Territories.

Well I’m not new .. but I may as well be. Haven’t been on here since 21-06-2014 😂 Did have a 2005 BF XR6 Ute. Got rid of that back in 2015 ... since had a CHrysler 300c Hemi and recently sold that on. Picked up a 2002 Falcon XT Tonne Manual Ute. Spent two weeks cleaning it up and fixing what I could see ... then had a Pedders safety check and all that came back if lower ball joints will need replacing soon and diff bearing/seals need doing. Which I pulled axles out yesterday and doing today. Ok plan is to build up the 4.0 in the near future ( No Turbo ) Have fired up a cat back system from DEA ( Hotdog, no muffler .. loud as 😳 ) Awaiting the extractors and high flow cat section to arrive. King springs with Monroe Reflex front. Yet to change rear, as not sure if I’ll go kings springs or just upgrade shocks only Great to be back in a Ford again. 🤘

Hey all. Richie here from Canberra. I'm here because i bought an old Ford (again).
over the years i have had XT Falcon 6 XR Falcon 6 XY Panelvan 6 ZB Fairlane 289 or 302 ZD Fairlane 302w ZD Fairlane 351C (My favourite) Then i had a family AU wagon 6 SX Territory (got it new!) FG G6e on injected liquid gas - Awesome car. Dad had a new XB GS 351 which gave my brother & I a taste for Ford V8s. He sold for a few thousand because of the 'oil crisis' and then got a ZH fairlane, EF & AU Fairmont v8 My bro is on here and has an XW351 Windsor GT and my old G6e and i just got an old RWD 2005 Territory the same colour as my old one but much cheaper I mourned the loss of local Ford production - I think all the associated parts manufactures gave us a good local engineering base for building things like the bushmaster. My dream is to get an XB Coupe one day. (dreaming) I need a head lining for the Terry Last edited by tEZZA05; 23-12-2020 at 01:01 PM. |
