Inverse customer service. So when i was in a service role one thing i was taught and did was to work out a clients interest and then ask them next time about that. So for arguments sake, if i found out i client liked yelling at clouds, the next time i would ask if they yelled at any clouds over the weekend. So that worked well for the company i worked for, that created repeat business as the client thought of me as a person not just the guy there to do stuff. So the inverse. On the other end, same thing but for purchases as a customer. False interest but make it beleivable and it gets put through as staff discount.

Like a sausage in a sock… Pure coincidence a sump plug bit for French cars, fits a timing tensioner’s square socket.

Hi guys,
those who know me a little know that i love my ford mondeo. The other week i wanted to change the spark plugs so i started and noticed that two Spark plug wells had oil in them and two of them didnt.

I have done a lot of ks in this car now and straight away i was thinking this may be a big repair. i left the car at my mechanic and told him the problem. i also told him i had just returned from Echuca in Victoria and the car went like a dream.

I got a call from him in the afternoon saying your car is ready. The problem was rocker cover gasket had to be replaced as it was letting the engine oil into the Spark plug wells.

I supplied the new spark plugs and when he said $350 dollars i was more then happy to pay that as i was expecting a lot more but didnt say that to him.
If i had known it was only a rocker cover gasket i could have done it myself but wasnt really sure what the problem may be at first. It turned out to be a win for me and i was happy.

Cheap enough in my books without getting your hands dirty, I consider that a fair price from a reasonable mechanic.

Hi-ho!

My father had some 5kg ingots, he cashed them in when he thought the market was peaking. That was about 25 years ago.

I was out front cutting the rhododendrons this evening into dusk, got the battery charging steadily on a project car, there’s food in the house. It felt pretty good - yes I might be bogan - but a nice sense of getting on with things and not worrying too much about stuff I couldn’t influence right now.

My employer provides us with access to the Samsung corporate program which provides us with discounted technology products. With my phone not able to use volte to call 000 when the 3g network closes down, I thought I'd purchase myself a new phone. As part of the deal, I got free shipping of my order.

I placed my order on Tuesday this week. My order was shipped from Sydney yesterday, and it arrived at my place in regional Vic today. Certainly impressed with the service provided. Hope the phone lives up to the standard set to date.

Was talking to my son as is what you do, he said something in the vein of you cannot trust all of what the internet says. So I asked him if he read that on Wikipedia? He got real defensive until i said I'm allowed atleast 1 dad joke per day. Then he changed tune and reckoned that wasnt the worst of my terrible jokes.

Just got a car started that hasn’t run in over three years, one of my favourite Frog barges - hoping it will be good for rego in a fortnight. Wipers don’t park properly, headlights need a buff and the tint is RS. The busted fourth gear apply band can wait.

Good to have the tray / chassis married back up and ready to go to work soon.

do you work alone, or is there staff involved. I wager a fleet of those lil trucks rocked up at my place for a few days work, I would be impressed.

Even a convoy of em travelling down the road would be satisfying.

Been preparing for some sublet works at the house tomorrow, need to shift a bunch of cars just for the day and stash a number on the local streets (naughty me; some are without rego). Busy washing, tidying, charging batteries, collating parts, and as of 8:15 tonight - close enough to ready. I don’t like it when people say they’re good for work to start and they aren’t - so no way would I knowingly put others in that situation.
