Nice riding shoes, she was also on the phone
P Platers wonder why they are targets 1. fat tyres on the front on camber, skinny cheese cutter rears. 2. more cable ties holding it together than I could count 3. bumpers falling off. 4. Exhaust falling off, every bump you hear it hit. 5. Front fenders popping off, likely from front tyres 6. who knows what else ????

Yep not a fail in my books!
Except the rear wheels need to be like the front wheels.

I thought it was more so fail on the stupidity scale, double demerits, cops everywhere. That thing is a defect magnet. I'd be parking somewhere for the next week if I were him...

As much "potential" as it *may* have, as it stands... It is indeed a fail.

thats the whole point of amateur drifting. not everyone has sponsor with a **** load of money to throw a brand new car around and not care if they stack it.
When i lived in Perth a workmate did amateur drifting at Barbagallo Raceway. (Funny because we worked at Barbagallo Jaguar) and he had a Sprinter like that. just minus the body kit and it was flat red. But it was the most fun i ever had sliding around the track with him. The epic camber on the front is for handling when sideways. Cheese cutters on the back because i'm guessing he doesn't have epic amounts of power like my mate so you need the skinny tyres to keep the tyres turning while drifting. Cable ties on the front and rear bumpers are so if you come off into the dirt the cable ties will snap and the bar will come off in one piece

Crush it. It's using valuable resources such as fuel, oil and rubber which could be put to better use.

Thats like saying because you have a V8 Cortina you're going to be drag racing on the street and endangering peoples lives. Take a step back mate... It Doesn't matter what car, the condition of that car it is or if he's a P-plater.. Its the same freaking thing... Dumbest post i've seen in a while.

no my car does not drive around on the street with slicks and front runners on it.. if he wants to use his car for multi purposes, beleive it or not it has to be made roadworthy to travel on our streets with our family and friends, if you think that driving that car on the road is ok your as stupid as the guy that owns the car you step back mate and have a look at that car and tell me how roadworthy it is in that condition, if he wants to drift by all means do it, but put it back to a road worthy condition when its on the street my post my be the stupidest you've seen in a long time, but at least i'm not driving around in a POS.. |

Wow it has original rear wheels - shock horror and some upgraded fronts.
It has a dodgy bodykit but I don't see the illegality of that. The only thing I can see that isn't roadworthy on that car is the height which no one would care about and the width of the front wheels and i've seen much worse on the road than that. Other than the exhaust apparently falling off theres nothing thats going to be murdering people here. So where does any of this lead to boyracer killing your family?

so because you have seen worse makes it ok??? you don't think cable ties holding body parts on is unroadworthy?? you don't think miss matched wheels and tyres is un roadworthy?? you don't think stretched tyres on rims is unroadworthy?? you don't think wheels outside of the body is unroadworthy?? you don't think altered wheel track is unroadworthy?? i could go on and on on just what i can see in that photo, god knows what else is knackered in that car.. I'll bet you that thing would not go over the pits and be able to be driven home afterwards... |

And now to move back on-topic or slightly there of, here's a fail that I personally count as an epic win. Anyone remember this story? And yes it's a motorbike, but oh well, it was taken from a car =P |

What are you - Today Tonight? Seen worse or not this car will undoubtedly happily carry on for a very long time. Cable ties are used the world over reliably to hold things together, no I dont see a problem there although no its not to factory specs.
The wheels are in line with the wheel arch, the aggressive camber makes it look as if its spaced further out. I don't see how the car is dangerous if the fronts are 8in wide as opposed to the original 5.5in~ rear wheels - I'd consider it actually safer with the extra grip up front as opposed to the original 175 wide tyres... What part of this car makes you think he's going to go drifting the streets and killing your family?
