Interesting who authorised that road sign but whichever person or organisation who did should be commended, should be more of them on our roads.

I did as the sign said and stayed 1.5M apart from the car in front. At 110km/h, I had to switch to left foot braking to "maintain a safe 1.5M distance".

I don't agree with some of your posts on this matter but this point is absolutely right. I learned the hard way....

Whilst not a truck it was a massive lifted 4wd who swerved at very last second at high speed, as clearly wasn't concentrating/watching the road.

Only crash I've ever had and whilst my distance to him/her at speed seemed fine, the lack of not knowing a car broken down dead stationary on a highway left me nowhere to go, as car on right and railing on left.

Bang. Car written off and person in car had minor injuries but otherwise lucky.

I no longer follow large vehicles where possible, or sit a long way back, due to this experience.

But you did state it was a "requirement' which may have led some simpletons to think it was affirmation of it being a road rule.

As per above.......

My damage was on both sides (I tried to find a gap) but airbags out, automatic write off. Still upset on car but safety of others far more important.

That's not the Tasman Bridge is it?

Both airbags went off?

(must be much more damage on the other side?)

The full sentence of what i said is...

But you choose to selectively quote half the sentence.

Mate I know car models not mechanicals........no idea.

Yeah maybe unlucky on sensor but I don't know etc Zilo.

Luckily there is permanent speed cameras as you'd know, so Police knew now being silly etc. Being wet made it worse as VU HSVs no ABS

Interesting turn of events today. It also looks like Mr Pusey has a decent legal team behind him now.

Good. The amount of time he’s already spent in remand is disgraceful. Let see this go to Court ASAP for a quick resolution.

Yep, they cannot use the China virus as an excuse to prolong or deny justice.

That, and he has had to go cold turkey off the gear while locked up. Dude seems like a sociopath though.

Dude is entitled to his day in Court, contrary to what the public think of his actions.

If you read back through my posts you will see I agree with you. From all reports the guy is a total POS, long before this all happened, but he does deserve his day in court.

A lot of the charges put against him, are just the cops going after him for whatever garbage reason they can make up.

In which he will get eventually through the due process.
Take note a magistrate not the police that has remanded him in custody.

That's a little misleading the way it's worded in this article. The bloke who's been charged is actually a manager from Connect Logistics.

Think I can see where the prosecution is attempting to take this now. One thing's certain, it’s not going to be a quick process.

A bit melodramatic on behalf of Vic Pol, was it really necessary to have an out of sessions Hearing, given the incident happened months ago. Looks like VicPol are attempting to "throw the kitchen sink" at anyone who they think may have an involvement in the incident. I'm surprised the prosecutor haven't charged Mohinder Singh's dogs veterinarian for knowing Singh, through his dog......
