i thought the idea of a kitcar was to build it how you wanted? not how some keyboard warrior who isnt paying for it wants it...
maybe the builder wanted something that didnt turn it into a lead tipped arrow, or wanted smooth modern reliability? or some semblance of fuel economy? not everyone wants the fastest car on the road. the s/c V6's are what 170-180 kw's? still go pretty hard in a small car like that i reckon. hell, maybe he just likes holdens? but wanted the look of an old schooler? its not what i would build but i certainly see no fail. each to their own. |

It is fail due to the fact that there are many other engines out there that are more powerful, easier to get parts for, lighter and more economical. The Holden V6 s/c has not a lot going for it compared to even other V6's.

I know they have been done. I was looking into them a while a back and from memory the engine had to be engineered by the year 199x to be able to be registered else it had to meet some pretty strict requirements. I think this is why they use boss engines and the like now. I could be wrong. This was also NSW.
*edit* here is a thread on it: http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthr...7&page=1&pp=25 |
