HAHA! have never heard the term "thong slapper", but i always called them a "noise maker"... hottie ones seemed to make lots of noise, but looked slow doing it.
I did have that model cause was mint - stock & cheap.... was surprised cause it proved good to drive & a reliable 2nd car. |

Wow, that's nice. Bro's 2nd car was exactly that, in white. 70,000km car, immaculate. Got to watch him destroy it over a few years.
Very smooth to drive.

Rare beast!
https://www.grays.com/lot/0001-70006...dan-no-reserve Very original looking VH Pacer sedan, what chance a find like this in 2024? From memory it is a 3 speed manual on the floor? Love the instrument cluster on this model. My only memory of this car is an old fella absolutely booking along Marmion Ave by the sea in Mossy Park, in Perth in the late 90's or early 00s. Marmion runs parallel to Stirling Hwy so I was following and watching him go from my car on the highway, looking across to Marmion occasionally, and trying to keep up. Geez did that Valiant move! 3 hours left to go, get your bids in Chrysler fans!

That Pacer was a steal!
smoo, no way am I buying an Alfa to be driven that infrequently. It would be way too needy vs kilometres travelled, and my brother is identifying as a boomer - he’d likely rather trade the Suzi on a newish BYD. |

I'm guessing they just don't have the CUB following of the Fords and Holdens.

33’s rusted terribly, almost to Sud levels; there will be exceptions of course. Only trumped by the little Dutch Volvos.
A malingerer from the era of too much ABS plastic inside and flaky HVAC systems. If you want to suffer a small, quirky, sporty and pedigreed car of that era, I suggest either Lancia Thema 8.32 or Peugeot Mi16x4, both best bought as private imports and still LHD. |

May be meant this from Wiki...........seems to have a badge on the fender...
30th Anniversary Released in October 1990 the 30th Anniversary commemorative models were identified by a 30th Anniversary winged badge on each front fender. These vehicles carried the vast majority of the technical updates of the EB Falcon. |
