I just recently purchased a 2015 Ford Falcon FGX XR6 non turbo 6 speed manual ute which i absolutely love and have wanted one of these for about 15 years.

This is the first Ford i have owned after owning Mazdas over the years.

HI I am joe and new I love 1930 fords I have a 1934 3 window coupe with a ford 347 with Clevo 2V heads and building a 1938 club coupe with a AU 5 Ltr injected in it so keep a ford a ford very happy to join in the conversation

I have got a lot of useful information from the forum over the years and decided to join, mainly because I have a problem I need to solve I have to admit. More about that in the relevant sub forum.

I have had mostly fords in my 44 years driving.

XT Fairmont Wagon which I fitted with a 250 2V and Top Loader 4 speed.
XB GS Black Coupe which I fitted with a 250 2V and Top Loader 4 speed.
XB Sedan
XC Wagon
Escort Sedan

XF Wagon found to be rust covered with bog and structurally unsound so I took it to a wrecker. He kept driving it. Passenger door visibly moved up and down as you were driving due to A pillar flex. The bog wasn't strong enough lol.

XF Wagon. Much better condition. Dual Fuel

XF Wagon. Second car for work
ED Futura Wagon. Dual Fuel

AU Series 3 Futura Wagon is my current car. Dual Fuel

Since the second XF I have lived on a hobby farm of 43 acres in an area of many roos. I have had to dodge them on my drive. All the cars from that one have had bullbars except the AU. With the ED I stopped counting roo impacts at 50. Roughly 80 all up. I was working in a winery travelling at all hours of the night at times. When a small roo took off the top horizontal bar of the bullbar due to weld fatigue and slammed it into the bonnet I started to drive a bit slower. The AU doesn't have a Bullbar as they are way too expensive for airbag vehicles. I drive a lot more carefully. Sometimes you don't have a choice tho when there is thick undergrowth 2m from the road. A roo can hit your car in milliseconds. I once hit 2 about a second apart and had to go home for a gun to euthanise them. I also hit 3 one morning at totally different locations driving a fire truck on the way home after an overnight firegound patrol. When a roo is hit by a fire truck at 100kph it does not survive.

My cars are not show cars, just a means of transport in case you haven't realised that. I live 55km from the town we use for all our shopping etc, 7km inside Victoria from the SA border. That town is in SA. I travel on a lot of dirt roads in very poor condition.

Hi all, I'm Aslan and I've been a Ford nut all my life. I currently drive an FG FPV ute which I need some advice on. Rear end has always been a little noisy but after fitting CalTracs it's got even worse. My mechanics have tried to fix it, lube the bushes but it just made it worse. Any advice would be appreciated.

New (1st) Ford owner, I've bought a 2007 BF MKII XL Ute running Factory LPG.
Landed at this place as I really wanted a ute and reading through the site I realised there was no other option - just gutted we lost local manufacturing of the I6 and the Barra!?!

Hi All,

I have finally joined after years of gleaning useful tidbits from all the posts. Whilst I've never considered myself a "Ford man" I learned to drive in an XE Wagon and have since owned a few wagons (AUII, BA, BF) and now have a 2010 TS SYII Territory owned since new, so I guess I finally have to admit it.

I use it as my work vehicle and intend to keep it going as long as possible, so look forward to partaking in and contributing to the forum to ensure this happens.

To be honest, Covid took all the fun out. Now people just meet up on Zoom and compete to shoot Tic-Tacs out their nostrils into a coffee cup. Even that was set aside when we had a mask mandate.

After the release of the new 2024 Mustang I wish i waited as i like the updated interior but like all car enthusiast i have already purchased after market mods for it approx 5k so no option to change. lol oh well

Hi guys
I owe a G6E 2012 eco boost love it I had in my early days a Ford XY loved the solid car
Then a BA great car as well
Now this FordG6e just took it for the last 2 weeks to Adelaide went great but a couple of times up hill Temp gauge went to alarm then as soon as I got to top of the hill went back to normal any ideas if temperatures were high gauge would stay there but didn’t
Any ideas

G'day.

Long time Ford fan, first time (finally) joining my like minded blue-blooded peeps online.

Been a Ford fan my whole life. Owned a 78 XC Fairmont sedan, many moons ago, but had to sell (cry) cos it was my daily driver and a 5.8 Cleveland drinks like a Yakuza with a new Liver. I was young and poor so bought an AU2 XR8 as my, relatively fuel efficient, get to work car.

Worked for Ford selling cars in NZ as well as here in OZ, but got out the game in 2007. Sold the first of the new Mustangs in NZ in 2003/2004, which earned me a weekend in the dealer principals tricked out GTP, with unlimited petrol to burn. Ah, that was a great weekend, although I doubt I would have given such a car to a 22yr old if I were him.

So here I am, much older, still got my AU2 XR8 which I've had now for about 15yrs, which leads me to this Forum as she needs a bit of work and I want to get her humming, a bit more punchy, and restore/replace the interior.

Hope to speak with a few of you who know a lot more about this than me so this piece of Ozzy history remains on the road, turning heads, for as long as possible.

Only ever owned Fords, learnt to drive in a Ford, maybe even conceived in a Ford 😉

XC, XD, XE, EA, NA, NC, BA and BF.

Pride and joy is my 2007 BFII LTD 213000 Kms. Have noted last 3 months when I fill/top up the fuel tank, there is a very strong smell of fuel emanating from the rear of the car and noticeable fuel at the rear of the tank, looking as though it is running down from the top of the tank!

If I don't fill beyond 3/4, no problems.

Anyone here familiar with this?

Hi all it is nice to get into a Ford forum and interact i am not to sure where or how to Post a problem yet so i will start here i have a 2005 sy Territory and love it i recently added the cruise control buttons and switches to the brake pedal but now i am having trouble getting someone to add the files and activate the cruise control any help is appreciated.Thankyou

G'day everyone 😃 I own a 2000 AU2 XR6 Tickford ute, I noticed a little oil leak at the front near the power steering pump (loose connections) tighten the connections problem solved right ✅️, Wrong mechanic says head gasket, common thing with this motor, $2,500 to have it fixed, my reaction 🤯, well 2 bottles of Rislone heavy duty rear main seal repair has temporarily fixed the problem. After talking to other ford owners i find out for an extra grand & a bit I can get a crate motor delivered, problem is I'm trying to keep the ute as original as possible 😀 but buying original parts is like finding rocking-horse manuer 🤣, now my fuel gage is going crazy each time I fill the ute up it reads MT, many Klm's later the fuel gage decides to work, now to fix that, what do I need to buy?

And of course its something as simple as a sat nav remote for a 2010 g6e lmfao

Probably a bit cheeky ,but,you will probably find the new crate engine is a bare unnumbered engine.Read what you like into that

Looking for insight to help a mate with his auII falcon. stumbles at idle (was stalling sometimes) and still stracking down a p0325 knock sensor circuit fault code. At least now it runs on 6 cylinders not 4.

G'day all

I have an 05 Terri AWD Auto with a prominent shudder at the steering wheel when braking at any speed (harder at higher speed than slower speed). Nothing is felt in the pedal. I did see the drivers side wheel slightly rock backwards and forwards when coming to a complete stop. Tyres appear to be wearing evenly. Wheel bearings appear to have no movement when rocking the wheel by hand back and forth. No play in steering wheel either. I replaced lower control arms on both front sides along with the tie-rod and brake pads approx. 12mths ago. Rotors appear to be visually fine.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

G'day everyone I'm Roy, I'm new to this forum and I own a 2009 FG G6E in Seduce with a black interior. I don't drive it much due to being provided by my employer with a work vehicle from the opposition, a Holden Colorado 4x4 king cab. I'm only allowed to use it for work not for private use which I wouldn't as it's not the most pleasant of vehicles to drive whereas the G6E is.

G'day everyone I'm Aaron new to the forum. I live on the Mid North Coast NSW and own a 2007 bf mk2 Fairmont ghia that is a work in progress. Having joined this forum I feel was the right move to get and hopefully provide any and all help possible. With all that done can someone please point me in the right direction on how to change the fuel float/sender unit as having issues with it not reading properly. For example 3 days ago I had a full tank and DTE was saying only 150klm and gauge on cluster was reading half a tank. From my understanding the bf mk2 and the fg are same same in the way of fuel sender in which I have ordered a new one just never had to change one.
