My father in the late 70s owned a Kingswood ute he purchased 2nd hand from a farmer. It was HK/HT/HG era model. It was fitted with a bull horn. Not as loud as a train horn but equally as funny blowing it on unsuspecting pedestrians. Pity he didn't keep the horn when he sold the ute.

Good to see some realism for a change in an ad other than the obligatory "one lady owner", as if that somehow means the car is treated better than if it was a male driver.

Ad was posted by Steve. Wonder if his partner knows?

ONE (NOT) CAREFUL FEMALE DRIVER FROM NEW. LOTS OF MINOR DAMAGE. NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT OTHER THAN CAR PARK DINGS. STILL IN DAILY USE. NEEDS SOME WORK SO OFFERED FOR SALE WELL UNDER MARKET RATE.

Clean sweep for the Republicans

- won the popular vote
- won the electoral college
- won the senate
- won the house

Unfortunately an early sign of the Establishment fighting back, the departing Mitch McConnell has managed to thwart the incoming government by having a never Trumper installed as Senate majority leader. Still many RINOs to weed out in the next 4 years.

Not sure if it belongs in here, or the “What are you listening to?” thread, or in the “I hate that!” thread, but I’ve had an earworm since early today of Kate Ceberano singing Bedroom Eyes. Sugary, soft and pure high notes; she really was a sweetie in her early days of fame.

I booked in my leave from 11/12 to 15/1. I'm hoping to do a day trip down the coast to wet a line before it gets clogged up during school holidays. I have not been down there for about 7-8 years

I'm supposed to go back on the 15th too.

By now, I had been planning to be down along the coast, but a hospital visit ruined that.

Trackside, 29°, beervans, then good music and vibes in the city. Need more Fridays to feel like this.

Picked up my wheels from Wheel Worx (https://wheelworx.com.au/repairs/)
yesterday, and wow, what a difference $275 per corner can make.

Outstanding is the way I would describe it. I don't have a pic of the worst wheel before shot, it had a major chunk missing out of the edge where it hit a square gutter, I'm guessing, and you would not know. They all came up as new. Big thanks to Joe and Jamie the painter, for a flawless result. I am 1000% fussy and I can't fault their workmanship.

If you need your wheel(s) fixing, go and see these guys. Yes they are open Saturday mornings for drop off and collections only.
Any hoo,
You be the judge:

Cheers,

One Man

Put a set of numberplates on reserve today.
Nope, not for me, my plates follow my car.
There was consultation so my kid when he gets old enough to own a car, they are for him but the combo is just right. Not vanity plates. But 5 character , so 2 letters, 3 numbers. Old skool like mine, they're on reserve so he can choose any colour he wants provided its what i say, so white on black.
