Now that's a far better view of the rump. I imagine it's an XT too so the rest of the range should look even better.

Good to see a proper 3/4 shot. Still very American though, but it's different.

Looks like the same XT wheels carried over from FG MkII.

Looks like that XT has G Series/XR side skirts. Nice to see the Falcon badge back.

That looks awesome. Really interested in what the XR rear looks like now. Are there any pics of the XR diffuser yet? Also still hoping for a modded interior.

Thanks for the pics.

It is looking better with every pic, at 1’st glance I was a little hmmmm um ok, but as time goes on and more pics are revealed it is looking better, which is a good thing.

I’m still not sure if I am going to like the Mondeo/Falcon off spring.

The tail lights look too thin especially at the corners.
Perhaps keeping the current fg lights or somewhere in between and carrying on to the boot lid would have been a bit better.
Other than that it looks a litle jag xf like from the rear.

Thanks mate. Hope xr6 gets same diffuser treatment.

I like the changes. This thread is just as frustrating as the previous BA and FG threads. Full of "too much change" "not enough change" and general negativity to justify why my old model is better (in the case of those who can't buy the new model).

Is the old Barra thread in archive from the old forum. Would b good for a laugh.

It certainly raises the height profile of the rear, looks taller, but I wonder if it will grow on me in time?

I was thinking the same thing, the bonnet doesn't line up very well with the front bumper or the front quarter panels. Also some other bits and pieces that would have putting my wallet back in my pocket if I saw that at the dealership.
I am sure it will all be sorted by launch though.

That's almost certainly a new quarter panel. The cutoff angle where it merges into the front bar is higher.

With that rear end design, I guess Ford were trying to create this look, which would have been awesome, but they didn't have the money to mod the rear quarter panels

I have to agree the rear does look a bit funny on that white car. Can someone photo shop the lights on the boot lid and colour code the red parts white and just leave the reverse light there to keep the flow of the chrome strip thru the reverse light. I think this would look awesome. Might just be too much red on a white car as the red looks good on the other colours.

Why did they have to move the Ford badge above the chrome strip. Would look a lot better with it on the chrome strip. Can someone photoshop it ?

The more I see of this car the less I like. The Mondeo/Fusion front does not look right on the ute. The boot doesn't look right with the FG side panels. Yellow side repeaters? Gee Ford even the FGII XT has clear side repeaters.

they are vulgar, nearly fell over when I saw them on the XR6 CGI they released. I could understand if it was just the base model ute and XT, but why the XR?!

It's no different to the SZ Territory. Both models below Titanium have amber side repeaters. Unsure if this was spawned off a similar theme in the USA?

Looks awesome. The blackout in the rear bar makes it look slightly tougher. Looks phat and super classy for an XT. In fact the most classy looking XT I've seen from the factory floor lol!

Wherever it spawned from, this doesn't belong on the last Falcon. Attention to detail is something Ford has lacked over the years, but this just takes the cake I mean, commodore, camry or any other korean junk box for crying out loud, does not sport orange guard indicators in 2014, come on... If the interior isn't a big step up from 2008, I'm afraid FZ will go out with a whimper, and team Holes Oil Leaks Dents Excessive Noise will have one-upped Ford in the final chapter...
