Just saw an old Toyota Spacia van with a very middle eastern driver behind the wheel.
Anyway, it had 3 big signs on it that said "FOR SAEL".
Now, this isn't racist as there are for sale signs everywhere in society, on billboards, tv, car yards; everywhere. I guess this makes this persons advertisement a motoring IPEC FIAL.
It was almost as good as my mates Dad's fast food joint where he being very Greek put up signs that said "HOOT FOD".

Sorry, but by the time I realised I should get a photo he had already gone the other way.

talking about the supercharged V6 in the cobra kit car...
my next door neighbour finished building one not that long ago.

Because these are registered as new vehicles, they need to conform to new standards. Anyway, he bought an LS1/manual gearbox and his engineer said you've got 6 months to get the car finished and back to me to finalise it or else it's a no go because by then the motor will not conform to the new emissions standards...

Funny you should say that, but last time I was at Willowbank a guy had his brand new TRD Aurion there. I had a chat, it was auto of course, and he was pulling mid to high 13's. Funny thing is, that means it would give most new V8 falcons a fair run for there money on the track, and I dare say better handling too.

yeah, too bad about the massive understeer under power. i highly doubt we'll see aurions taking on the v8 supercars. An f6 will still smoke a trd aurion, on the strip and track.

I take offence to that remark, we have a world class goat track here.... bahahahaha

Actually drove from Townsville to Silkwood a few weeks ago and I was surprised at how good (no im serious) its become. Apart from small section near Ingham, the Cardwell range (which is going to be rebuilt soon) and the main road at Tully, its improved since the last time I drove that way some 2 yrs ago. I havent been to Cairns in a while though so I dunno what its like past Innisfail nowadays.

However if you go South its truely awful.
Townsville to Bowen is absolute rubbish, and the rest to Rocky is average.

yeah the road there is bad from road trains, cane trucks and the amount of water that goes over it I reckon. scallops out the sides when it gets soft.

There are many a good FWD perfomance car. Nothing like the balance of a RWD car though.

Wouldnt have been standard. Wheels tested a BF XRT Vs a TRD Aurion and the XRT was nearly a whole second quicker down the quarter, and for 15 k less.

maybe a geek thinking he's doing ther right thing and finally buying some muscle to compete with the big boys...?

I don't know, just grasping at straws...

I was going to buy a TRD aurion ther are a great car 99% of the time you can't tell which end the drive is coming from. Fwd's have come a long way since the 80's

I did though buy the ford instead. Why? Potential.

A stock trd will do a high 13 1/4 but to get it to go faster is going to be a pita. The FG-t has so much more out there, tunes coolers turbos etc...

I don't read car mags anymore. Sick of the stuff they print. In one issue car barely cracks a 16 1/4 next time it's doing 14's
