FG noise insulation is poor at best. I put it down mostly to the tyres though.

When you put it in that way, it would be a significant feature for people travelling long distances, especially in rural areas. What i find is that if a person is too easily distracted enough to not have the ability to stay in their own lane then they shouldn't be driving.

This might sound stupid but they might as well add a so called 'feature' that every time you press the accelerator it makes a sound letting you know you're accelerating. Yep that added another 'star' to the safety rating system.

Not in Australia where alot of rural roads have very few or patchy lane markings.

I honestly don't like the capless fuel filler idea...my partner has a focus with that, spills fuel pretty much every time as ya put the fuel nozzle in.

Both look great. The more I see of the new Falcon the more I like it. FG, being the first of the generation, the "purest" if you will, is always going to look good. If history is anything to go by it'll probably age better than the F? but only time will tell.

Black roof? Unless it's black cause it's carbon fiber its R.I.C.E

It might be abit hard to spot a specific turbo model if the only difference visually would be an intercooler lurking behind the grill and a badge...they might possibly have the mirror indicators like the xr8, but would still be harder to spot without close up pics (particularly of the lower grill)

Yes, a V8 engine and deleted muffler option should add 2 more stars to road safety, as it makes a sound to know unmistakably you're accelerating and also pedestrians including blind freddy can hear and even feel you approaching from 2 blocks away

Why does that white xr6 look so good suddenly? Most of the time that is the face of a yellow taxi or hertz rental car. Must be the camera or lighting or landscape

I was thinking the same thing, it's the underside part of the front bar. Apparently the intercooler piping is pushing down on the part you'd never see (which I think is usually covered with the black tray) making it look different. I HATE the mkii FG's front bar, for some reason with the rear parts pushed down it looks really good.

On another note, after seeing those pics of the rear end of the new falcon, I'm seriously reconsidering ordering one. I cant stand it, it looks poxy as, the xr8 front however is spot on.

Hmm i think I can spot one difference compared to FG MK1. They have made the upper grille narrower in line with the FG FPV grille?

Now that does look great.. it all depends on the angle and pic taken doesn’t it, now I’m convinced it is a good looking vehicle.

It does indeed look great. I think the Angles we've seen in isolation haven't always been flattering. It's when you start to see all angles and take it all in as one design that you can fully appreciate it and that's what makes it a excellent design IMO

ETIS info, for those that are interested. The XT had tail lamps "level 1", this has tail lamps "level 3", so you can assume there will be at least 3 styles of tail lights.
