seriously, that is a good looking Falcon. I've said it before and I'll say it again, it has made the FGII look more than 1 generation old. Why Ford didn't introduce this earlier is beyond me.

Yeah that photo is much better...only thing is non XR8 bonnets just seem so plain, no form or any crease to them.
Mind you looking back the FG XR6 is no different really.

The only negative I have with that pic and it’s really only a slight concern is that I think the car would have looked a bit cleaner if they done away with the door handles that protrude out and went back to the smooth clean lines of those like on the AU/B series, as now the car has smooth straight lines about it, I believe the door handles of the latter series would have suited it better.

Damn that's a close up photo! I have reason to believe this is the same one captured in front of ford HQ. But could be another? Where's those G6E turbo premium wheels and boot lip I'm waiting for ! :P

Not sure if something was going on out at the test track today but there was 5 Rangers full of passengers and a full mini bus behind them heading that way. Media maybe?

Calais comparo. The Falcon is so much more aggro looking. Imo it will make the GTS look soft

Can you do a comparison of the two in full, it would give us a better look into how they compare.

Someone said a while back that the FG tail lights were designed to look like bird of prey beaks. I reckon that the new headlights look like bird wings sweeping back, even having a feather design in the indicator area. Nice.

The headlight design team really have outdone themselves with their work, it is very appealing.

I've filtered out the notable additions or existing features...
A lot of good in there... far more than the bad/same! Frt Scuff Plates-Illumin With Logo- Nice touch! A'la Mustang.. "Ford" or "Falcon" will light up on the scuff plates at a guess ACC Media Hub 2XUSB+AV+SD Slot - Impressive! Illuminated Power Window Switches- Given- should be all controls IMO, still good! Less Interior Noise Insulation Pack- Should be quieter? With Electrochromic R/View Mirror - Auto dimming rear view mirror With Driver 8 Way Pwr.Seat Adjuster/With Programmable Driver Seat - Nice! With Pass 2 Way Manual Seat Adjust- Still not electronic :( Ignition Key With Remote Unit- No keyless start by the looks of it. With Variable Intermittent Windscreen Wiper/Less Rain Sensor - Front W/Wiper- About time! MFD TFT Touch Screen/Navigation System- Good. Less Lane Keeping Aid- NICE!! Less Front Parking Aid Rear View Camera-Fixed High Front Lamps W/Signature DTRL Less Daytime Running Lamps Tail lamps - Level 3 LED I'm guessing- as mentioned before.

Here's an interesting one from that ETIS List...
Less Passenger Seat (I don't think I have ever seen Delete Passenger Seat on the Options List) I do agree with others that these lists are not 100% accurate. |

Something doesn't look right in the pic of the silver one, looks like the bonnet is too flat, like it's been sat on. The new face doest really match the rest of the car, looks like it's been cut and pasted on. So far the xr8 looks amazing but the others haven't excited me one bit. All the pics so far are of weird angles and make it look horrible, but when I see pics like the red one or the black xr8 it looks stunning.
Wish ford would release some proper pics

Those photos are clear evidence of how much the new Falcon trumps the Commodore. Apart from a few Holden fanboys that masquerade as Ford fans on this forum, and others that still want to feel comfy with their FGs by bagging what is an otherwise OBJECTIVELY classy rear end - this has win all over it. BTW, I have showed non enthusiasts the photos of the new rear that are on here and they ALL liked it.

Whether you like the rear or not, it is not an offensive design in any capacity. And don't give me this "eye of the beholder" rubbish either.

Whilst a lot of posters here are liking the new model as it looks "Tougher" "Meaner" "More Aggressive" etc.
A lot of AFF members (probably all ) are real enthusiasts, but perhaps the general public don't really want all the above. They just want a nice clean looking reliable Aussie Built Falcon, without all the go faster looking bits, and these are the people that Ford AU have to aim at. Not a few people that like the lumpy bonnet's and coffee table's on the boot.

For those doubting the white FH XT rear end shot earlier in this thread, here is a look back at the FG XT rear end. Look at this and then still tell me the FH is polarising. LOL.

Must be a lot of pride in those driving these around - seeing the "true Belieers" snaping pics. I'm loving it, but as ive said before - small lump develops in back of throat when i realise its the last one!

Hahaha god this old 'Orion'/FG release thread is hilarious! Everyone's opinions of the FG were the same! You should all just give in now and accept the fact you will all love it when it's released.
