And I never said it was as good as an XR6t, I was just pointing out that yes, a front wheel drive can, and are, good performance cars. Ever heard of Revo knuckle?

I wasn't trying to bag FWD cars, just trying to point out the TRD was easily disposed of by a car selling for 10k less. Just one out of many points that resulted in its sales failure. |

I read somewhere that fully loaded supa tankers need full reverse thrust for 7 miles to stop.

Eh, made a good first post, I've actually been on here for many months now. Have good mates in the maritime industry so they end up sending me these gems. There used to be a good website for these, will have to go googling......
Re: Stopping distance is more like 1000 to 1500 meters, less with a good VSP or ASD tractor tug off the stern. They still dont stop on a dime though. EDIT: Even the yanks get it wrong: Further EDIT: Found the site where they came from: http://www.cargolaw.com/gallery.html Ships, planes and wheeled vehicles doing all kinds of strange things here! These are also gems: Last edited by Judgie; 03-06-2010 at 08:02 PM. |

BMW looses cars in loading accident
The Courage tipped today at the port in Jersey City causing major damage to over 300 BMWs not including 70+ BMWs that were total losses. a majority of the destroyed vehicles were M3s (mostly in dark blue) with a variety of 3ers and 1ers smashed up as well. A small number of the cars destroyed had German Tourist plates on them, those European delivery customers will NOT be getting their cars back. If you were expecting your M3 or e90/92 in the next month, you're going to be in for a sad surprise. |
