Selling the coupe project I bought a few years ago, but apart from collecting parts I've done nothing with. Now in the for sale section, and reduced from the original listing price.
http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11356002 It will be on ebay again tonight starting at 7:00pm.

Has anyone seen this coupe for sale in Vic?
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....ht_1028wt_1396 It looks like its in a pretty bad state, although I'm not even slightly experienced in this area lol. Those in the know, what do you make of it? Also how hard would it be to get hold of the front panels, bonnet and front bar? XB ones not XA by the way.

I'm thinking of going to look at it because it's close enough, what are some bad things to look out for and what might look bad but is actually ok? Anyone would think I love fixing rust/corrosion or something, aircraft engineer (which involves lots of aluminium corrosion and cracking repairs, then buying a coupe!

there is nothing bad to look out for. looks like it needs rear wheel arches, boot lip, rear screen panel, sills most likely gone , ouer skin at quarter glass is gone, tailight panel is hurting, very thin behind bumper mounts, front scuttle is eaten away, rust near and in b pillars, stands to reason the rear lower quarters are gone as will the parcel shelf be. rain channels are toast. it will have more rust hiding as well. looks like a pretty standard coupe in that condition. there are better out therebut also a few worse. once the rust is fixed you will need every bit of stainless for a fairmont, engine , box, diff, interior trims, hang ons etc, on the bright side it dont got a sunroof but if you bang on the roof hard enough you may just get on for free. I am pretty frugal with building coupes and I cant see that unit turning a tyre for under about 20K. everything that looks bad on a coupe is im afraid.if you cry easily or are prone to mental breakdowns i would suggest you dont buy it.

Hey all,
If anyone is interested, I have just listed a couple of coupe items on the infamous "Epay". I'm cleaning a few unwanted/unneeded items from the shed Landua/LTD eyebrow moulds, Coupe side window channels that hold the body rubber up to the roof & A pillars. XB sedan body protection moulds. Also listing today a pair of XA black bucket seat plastic backs, a pair of coupe side rear passenger windows. Some XC front indicators, a coupe of side mirrors, etc... I will try to post a link up soon for anyone who is interested. My Ebay username is 9332rob. Cheers Rob |

Spotted this coupe for sale on a website.
Don't see too many Tropic Gold XB GT Coupes around. A second owner car as well. Not a big fan of Tropic Gold, but the black highlights break it up, looks good. http://www.musclecarstables.com.au/details.php?id=583 |

Handle ended up going for $200, when the guy picked it up I asked him what his top bid was as he hadn't changed it in 2 days but was the automatic highest bidder each time someone else bid. $351 was his answer. That's a lot for a door handle!

I am considering selling my second owner for 12 years landau, tropic gold black roof black interior. exterior respray 11 years ago. nsw rego. very original, tidy untouched interior, mechanically good, doubt the heads have ever been off the motor 70k miles. never had a wire cut, stereo added.. nothing. I really want it to go to someone who will appreciate it, not respray it purple and put a blower on it! will get an ad up here soon, any other ideas for best place to sell it? don't want to deal with idiots online. pm if you need to. an idea what you think its worth would be helpful. cheers, Chris.

That's the classic car prices these days. I certainly wouldn't pay anymore for it. I own a XC Coupe and have owned a Cobra to. It's just the sign of the times..............

ha ha, hey menace, nothing wrong with purple, or blowers... just not on this car!
its been part of my life for over 10 years so I want it to go to a good home, someone who appreciates the rare original condition of it. anyone can get a junker and "do er up!", but to find survivers of any make and model 40 years on is getting harder.. |

I have been on here for years, don't post much, reading about your landau and seeing the picture of yours, very similar to mine. you don't see many gold with black combo like mine, another nice gold one I can think of is rarev8, but has brown I think. |
