V6 Tang blasts the Agent86 off, at the dragstrip AND around a tight race track, well done team-blue-oval.

Cheaper, better looking, human sized back seat and boot, over 100HP more AND the most important thing in any road car...bulk low down TORQUE!

Tang for me thanks [still would want it in V8 form]
Tight race track? it looks like route 66
Seriously that review says the BRZ is the divers car, are you getting it yet??

Unfortunately, I don't think they will.

Lots of people are stuck in the mindset that power = fun.

I've driven muscle cars pushing 600bhp, and little rear wheel drive go karts like lotus and mazdas.

I can honestly say I had more fun in the Lotus than any other car. Being pushed into your seat is one thing, but having you face almost torn off around a corner is another

Even the video you linked says the BRZ is a better car.

The 86 ( Toyota) has a little bit firmer rear suspension than the BRZ. It may be even a bit sharper to drive . In the video , referred to , at one point the driver has the Subi labouring in third ! He says something along these lines! In reality the Mustang has the " track pack " 300hp and 0-60 in the sixes . If they were both the same price out here ,sure I would buy the Stang if I was shopping ..looks alone. But reality ,probably will not happen in Aus.

You're kidding me, right?

I'd put my money on the build quality of a Japanese car any day over an Australian built one.

I think the 86 looks really good much better then the original funny if they painted the car in white and gold and had German characters on the side for the cucumber farm like in the initial slide comics.

It took 24 pages for someone take a jab at AUs, pub record?

I saw a video review of the scion version (made by an owner), the poor bugger thought it was built on the same platform as the AE86 Corolla

Ive owned plenty of Toyotas. Never again.

There's a difference though, Lotus's cut awesome lap times and have damn good power to weight ratios.

The only thing the 86 has is good balance and a cheap price. They even claimed to put skinny tyres and deliberately non grippy rubber on it to make it easier to drive. But more likely cause it was cheaper.

The BEST effort for Agent86, is the BigT PR team, they would have bust a lung with laughter for the milage they have got out of the punters and magazines

A bizzare person once said "the masses are blind and stupid" this proves it!

Its a cheap, modern day Celica, what is all the fuss about, BIG deal if its quickish around a corner so is a WRX/EVO etc, ita a hairdressers and girly car

Oh and the current Mustang is a generation old and still stonks it, from TheGeneral....Game Over

Your too young, but Ford had this idea DECADES ago, it was called the Capri [not the soft top job from Oz], just took BigT decades to catch up!

Nice, I'd happily take your money. Japanese cars over the last 2 years have not been made to the same standards they have in the past.

lol, your showing you dont know anything about me...

i know about the capri, and lightweight well handling car it was not. not stock anyway. it was just more bland pommie mediocrity. there was a few exceptions, but imo the capri is over rated to buggery.
but if you go back through toyotas history it is littered with lightweight sporty rwd coupes. so theres no catching up to be done.
