It has rust..you can see a some under the windscreen corner.. otherwise fabulous car.. plenty of rare parts just needs the proverbial sensible offer.

Thanks for posting up the pics.
Big job to get that thing back on the road. Still, at the very least some good spares there. Such a shame it was left there to rot like that, looks like it would have been a good car.

Not quite a barn find, but thought you guys might like this.. Fella has had this tucked away for a few years, and looks like he's taken pretty good care of it!
And, it's up for sale! Note: It's not mine, not a self promotion, but someone might want this beauty so I'm posting it here. Sorry if this using allowed. Quote:

What will happen to the XA Coupe? parts or restore?
So sad to see it in that state.

WHERE and HOW do you find such things?
Does one just drive slowly through the bush, peering into people's barns? Where could you advertise, that an old bloke is likely to read?

local shops in the country have boards in their windows for stuff for sale, put a wanted poster up
put stuff up at the local pub if they will let you stick some posters on some lamp posts etc down the local street where the businesses are that people frequent

mine found me. On a recent coupe cruise with some fellow forum members the3 of us stopped at al ittle pub in the middle of nowhere for a drink and an old fella came out and said gday. He then proceeded to say his son was selling an XBGT coupe and asked if any of use were interested..I was and I bought it.
right place, right time !

I often found mine by visiting old country town's, ancient wreckers, or by driving down a road or street I wouldn't normally need to go down. I found my last XA Coupe while driving nowhere in particular in a town called Ulong in NSW. Drove through the main drag, went down a street to throw a u-turn and there it was in a backyard. Bought it for 150 1997 dollars!!
