GoAuto, going by what they've saying, appear to have seen the entire car uncovered. Hopefully we may see these photos at some stage...

This could be one of the best looking Falcons of all time. Looks promising to me.
But please, please FORD, don't have ORANGE repeaters on the base line models like the Territory and Ranger. They need to be clear. Small gripe I know, but I'd really like to have it out with the person that made the decision to go orange. It's a backward step.

This should be a celebration of a great car put together by many great Aussie engineers! Though, I fear that the articles and reviews are going to make reference to the death of the Falcon and the Australian auto industry every second phrase. Please prove me wrong Aussie auto journos! |

Look forward to seeing more of it. Bit disappointed about the interior comments.
Just not sure how the new front end gelling with the existing door sheet metal. Also hope the side repeaters are nothing like what is on SZ Territory.

Same challenge for every mid cycle face lift. Some models have been more successful than others - XT to XW was done brilliantly, as was ED to EF. AU to BA not so good, and VX to VY commodore was just terrible. Lets hope FG - F? is one of the good ones.

Bummer indeed. FG Falcon interior is dated.
Hopefully it's just the mule that's fitted with the old interior. I think the FG interior needs a complete redesign.

I thought AU to BA was one of the finest examples of how to blend in the older doors with the newer panels. Adding a new windscreen, rear window and roof certainly helps. I think BA was one of the most well executed facelifts ever - to my eyes at least, nothing seems out of place, even though the doors were carried over.

Lets hope its not a new body with minor revision to FG interior..That would be so sad way to go...At least Holden did give the Dunnydore a fresh interior..which FH needs.... This the Taurus dash...

Could not agree more with above comments re interior refresh.
I was just looking at Taurus and Fusion interior pictures and thinking that the FGs entire ICC and center console need to be binned and replaced with something a lot more modern and appealing. The Taurus and Fusion ICC and center consoles look fantastic and I would not complain if that was along the lines of what the final Falcon gets. Even the gauge clusters in the Fusion/Taurus are light years ahead of what we currently have. To top it off if we get all the good tech, maybe they will ditch the ugly steering wheel too and replace it with something from the 21 century.

Looking at the GoAuto pictures again just noticed this:
Now compare that detail to the new Australian designed Escort sedan. Also Escort lights and chrome trim sound very much like what GoAuto article is suggesting.

By the time The 'FH' parks itself, I will be in credit, okay. I'm still hoping the CC Ute survives. Non the less, I will grab an I6 turbo. Manual (because they will be as rare as hens teeth) but the auto if no option.

These images were taken by the same person who snapped the red car in goauto pictures and also possibly the white one.
This crop of the rear light assembly was taken to show how close they actually got to the new Falcon. I can't tell but they don't look like LED lights to me. . This apparently is the the front grill from an XR. Notice the current style XR badges clearly do not fit. This appears to be a close up of the upper section of the grill. Now compare the above picture with one of my FG below with the bumper off. Clearly you can see the same power steering cooler and top right bolt for XR6T intercooler. My intercooler is off in the below pic, don't have one with it on to show. Also worth noting that the larger F6 intercooler covers the power steering cooler, so if the above car is an XR6T it is running the same intercooler size as current FG XR6T.
