What I'm starting to get annoyed with is that all the CBD pedestrian crossing traffic lights are still set to automatically allow people to cross.
Great during the day when there is a high chance someone will be waiting to cross but at 2 and 3am when all you do is wait at traffic lights for people to cross that don't exist.

I do, too.
On a related note I watched people push into the queue for drive-through coronavirus testing a couple of months back. If there was a strong case against allowing self-quarantine at home post travel, these schmucks made it stronger again. |

Data valid as at 23:59 GMT December 7th, 2020.
Note: As not all Australian States report at the same time, the data below is based on the previous full day reporting. 7 new cases for Australia and 0 deaths so the CMR drops to 3.246%. NSW recorded 4 cases and Queensland recorded 3. No new cases and no deaths for NZ so CMR is 1.203% and active cases drop to 56. The UK had a lower 14,718 cases yesterday. We know they are now not counting their mortalities by the WHO guidelines so we are going to ignore the CMR but even using their method they recorded 189 deaths. Just over 184.5k new cases in the USA yesterday and 1,107 deaths sees CMR drop to 1.905% and active cases rise to 39.7% with the raw numbers rising and now over 6.0M. Note that the USA is actually minus one day due to time differences. Other notable points: The USA completes 209M, India 147M, UK 45M, Spain 24M and Phiippines 16M tests. It's the weekend so only - Cyprus (416); and Uganda (701) - 22% above the previous high ... recorded new daily highs; those in blue for the second consecutive day and those in red for a third or more consecutive days.

Ouch! $4700 fine for taking a 8 second stroll in the hotel corridors!
https://www.9news.com.au/world/coron...4-973951f17974 I wonder what's going to happen to those fines issued in Vic, and how many of them actually will make it to court, assuming people won't pay.

Another quarantine mishap by NSW Health has been revealed.
Quote:
This was in July. In the middle of Melbourne's second wave. You have to wonder how many times these mishaps by NSW Health had occurred prior to this one as well? A conspiracy theorist would even say NSW could have deliberately let overseas arrivals to travel to Melbourne. Wouldn't surprise me considering Scotty's response to Melbourne's second wave. Was the virus already widespread in the Melbourne community before the "hotel manager" at Rydges tested positive? |

Six people died in Pfizer’s late-stage trial of the COVID-19 vaccine, the US Food and Drug Administration has revealed just hours after Britain became the first country in the world to roll out the vaccine. https://www.wsj.com/articles/people-...ns-11607515727 Two of the first people vaccinated in the U.K. on Tuesday with the Pfizer Inc. - BioNTech SE shot responded adversely to the injection, the country’s National Health Service said, prompting the regulator to issue new guidance warning those with a history of significant allergic reactions against having the inoculation. Shut up and take this medicine we rushed into production. What could possibly go wrong? |

But I agree, it is rushed and there are risks. Although given the situation in some places, it might be a risk worth taking.

As for compulsory vaccines, it would never get through parliament. But I will make a note of your post so I can check on it in 12 months to see how we're going

If you read it properly I didn't say that at all. Although I do believe they will try to force people into getting it, by denying them certain things if they don't comply. Like welfare. |

No need for countries to deny entry without a vaccine, the little gay leprechaun at Qantas will get you first....before you leave home..... I love the BS coming out of the ABC that a little British 95 year old was the first person in the world to get a COVID vaccine..... Hmm...me thinks the Russians got there first...but we will selectively forget that....(but it is the British, they love writing their own version of history for self promotion) I won't be injecting either. |

If this China flu was so bad, wouldnt you think the 1st people to have the vaccine, should be doctors & other essential service, police, politicians etc... not making sense as usual!
So i suppose most on here will be lining up for the jab??? |

That gives us some time to watch how everyone else in the world goes with it and for any bugs to be ironed out in the first generation vaccines. We're in an enviable situation really. After that, sure, I'll be in line for a jab. And I want to see the state and federal gov-mints actively penalise those who refuse the jab with welfare/tax/travel restrictions. Although I suspect that people who won't jab probably couldn't afford an airfare anyway... |

Did you vaccinate for the other jabs historically given out in Australia? Where did all these anti-vaccers come from all of a sudden? As above, we are so lucky we are not in the EU, we are down at the **** end of the world in blissful isolation and we can sit back and watch the next 6 months unfold and other countries fall over each other to get it done first. Id imagine peoples thoughts would be very different if you lived in the US or EU, actually, anywhere other than AUS and NZ.
