So they are taking the old hybrid VT out of the back shed and throwing the VE body around it?

Ford need to get cracking... seriously.
Start taking stabs at Holden through advertising i.e: I have seen in an FPV ad on YouTube... the narrator says,"You'll just want one." Nice & Subtle. Ford need to release some concepts. GT Coupe? V8 Terri? Turbo'd/Supercharged V8? For far to long, Holden have flexxed their muscles with this concept and that concept... some being put into production, some not... Ford NEED to do the same. If Ford had planned it so they realease the Orion along with a concept V8 Terri, GT Coupe and maybe something along the lines of V8 Fairmont Coupe... this would show some power, some "we still got it". Maybe we could be lucky, maybe Ford are being quiet for a reason... I wish... I truely wish that at the MMS that Ford shock and surprise us with a few new toys. Josh.

Base: Orion Falcon Motor/Drivetrain: Twinforce (Twinturbo) V6 with GDi, (suppose a V8 could be used but...) and modified territory AWD Body: Coupe, with Carbon Fiber Gaurds (wider for wheels and AWD) bonnet and bumper, Aluminum roof and boot. Small Cobra lip spoiler and bodykit based on V8 supercar. Cobra stripes etc. ...sumthin' like that. |

Ford need to showcase technology (new V6) inside the Orion, show people what will be coming and hold faith that the Falcon may become a decent car again.

Im a little confused as to what Lutzy is talking about. But remember; Holden will try ANYTHING to take some spotlight.
Torana - done I thought, how different could they possibly make a concept that will be a production car anyway HSV - How special will that be? We know what the front will look like and they might change the tail light..wow Camaro - Done at previous shows Im actually with Blackout on this one; I cant see it being anything else. And I am so sick of people talking about the effijy; it looks great, but thats it. What part of that car will ever be put into production? The Orion will be the only thing worth seeing at the show. The industry needs it and Ford cant afford to screw it up. Its BA all over again and then some.

In my post i forgot the i.e. I would like Ford to show some technology in their falcons (or use it in a concept with the V6). Show us why we should buy them again, what do they have over the competition.

Maybe a good way to gazump Holden at the MMS would be to release Orion at the Brisbane Motor Show this coming weekend - would catch Holden with their pants down and Ford would have the show all to themselves!

No one cares about the brisbane motor show. they need as many people to see there car being unveiled as possible. Holden are experts at working car shows, i cant see ford being able to beat them. |

Thats because nobody releases anything of high importance at BMS. However there are a lot of new models going to be at BMS including Skoda (sp). Interestingly Mercedes is pulling out of MMS. I dare say in the future we will only have the Sydney show.

I'd expect holden to come up with a competitor to the Mondeo, but with the added street cred of being RWD. My guess is a born again Torana. It would have to include a diesel option and would show them as being progressive enough to chase the mid-size & fuel efficient car market. Of course, they would have the option of more powerful motors to chase the BMW 3-Series etc...

Holden have been reknowned to Do Concepts that steal the Show on the day but don't actually make it to production...
Im kinda expecting more of the same and will be pleasently surprised if its not the case. Orion will definitely have its fair share of the show, have no doubt. People have seen how great the BA is and the amount of attention it got when it was release was fantastic. Remember the XR6T when it was first released? Holden had nothing. Zip and still don't have anything force inducted in the C'dore Range... It's going to be an interesting week at the Motor show

Ford upstaged again by Holden again? Ford would have to have the worst marketing team in the industry, either that, or the smallest budget to work with.

I dont understand the hype from holden; but thats what they are good at.
They have all but confirmed a mid sizer RWD anyway. So what they will show a more boring version of the concept. A big whatever from me.
