as gammoboy said in an earlier post .. some emo types like to cut themselves. I think of them as imitation goths.
there was a joke (I think it was on this forum) about wanting to buy emo grass.
it cuts itself.

Uncle Bastard has a definition of Emo.

If you dont look like a 6 foot tall wild eyed sociopath with little or no concern for human life. IE just like me. Then you are an Emo.

Now you can deny your emoness. But trust me, when I say, uncle bastard, and his cell mates.... can make you cry and contemplate suicide.

"Thats it, I'm outta here!!!" As said by one Homer Simpson. Up until I saw this thread on the forum, I had no idea what an emo was or that it was a term the kiddies use.

Q: How many emo kids does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
A: None, they'll just sit in the dark and cry.

Q: How do you get an emo down from a tree?
A: You cut the rope.

Another lightbulb one....

When I was young males were called blokes and women were called ladies. I think I have missed SO much.

Now we have sic, which to some means good. Awesome, which has a TOTALLY different meaning to what is used today and the ubiquitus (GAY) which USED to mean Happy. :(

My world is getting smaller I think :( Now I have to get used to Emo? :

Emos have begun to spread like cane toads..

The majority of them now are in the 13-18 yr old bracket..

Always sad little people... Whats so bad about your life at 14??

Non conformists?? Why do you all wear the same clothes and have the same hairstyles?

Girls and guys cannot be told apart, the guys are all anorexic or very skinny and wear tight *** pants like the chicks.. I think they call the pants supertubes.. WHOA DUDE!!

In my opinion they are try hards, Gothics I dont like them but fair enough they dress and do what they do for a reason be that music etc etc, but emos..seriously wake up to yourselves..

EMO = Emotional Punk, more like emotional idiots.. wake up to yaselves and get a life..

Usually people who are actually into punk hate Emos the most of all for trying to rip their scene.

yup emo is just an easy way of saying look at me im a weird fruity idiot who looks like 1000 other sheep in this herd..as well as being an E true hollywood story on 101 ways to make girls NOT attarctive..although in thier favour i guess it's no different to going to a footy game or the V8's and seeing all these people dressedin the same gear, all painted up.. cheering and raving on ... i think its just that emo is so boring and shallow, we know life can suck who needs to write songs abut it and blame the world!

Emo = Bad. I reckon it's funny, alot of them have the attitude of not conforming. But they have turn a minority into a majority. It's as if there conforming to anti-conforming.

its well known up here on the sunnie coast that they all hang out at the plaza here so at night centre management have started to play some sort of violin music or something they dont like through the sound system and all the 'normal' people stay and all the freaks leave, is quite funny when they change the music : they get all emotional and go somewhere else

ALright, calm down. Back away from all us football supporters. Sure we all dress up to go down and watch our teams, but thats like 2-3 hours a WEEK, and thats to show our SUPPORT of our teams (cough COWBOYS cough : ). Unlike goths and emo's who live in their outfits 24/7, 7 days a week, and who the hell are they supporting?

I don't feel the need to dress up at home, or for going to the shops to get milk.
When I'm at work I have to wear company uniform, which is 5 days a week, as opposed to going clubbing which is maybe once a fortnight.

To get into the goth clubs there is a dress code, just to pick out the trouble making morons, from the rest who go to enjoy the music, dance, and hang out with friends.

In Sydney the "scene" is small enough that security know 99% of the people who attend such events by name, and everyone inside either know most people by sight, or are friends of people who do know them.

Wait up!
Goth isn't about clothing alone. Goth is a scene, and much more than clothing.

Most people wouldn't guess that I sometimes work on the door at a Goth Club, or that I listen to the type of music I do.

You hardly wake up and decide - 'Oh, I will be goth today.'

You might like to think about your statement again, and realise that most goths have full time jobs and don't feel the need to dress in full boned corsets and fishtail skirts to go to the supermarket!

Rant over. Back to the talk of Emo's now.
There was an article on Emo's in the QLD Sunday Mail today. A funny read.
