Hey Kids

Well what a weekend! I had an absolute ball at Morgan Park and can’t wait to do it all again next year. The track was awesome, the weather just fantastic, the cars magnificent and the size of the smiles trackside was just extraordinary. All and all a brilliant weekend that has left me craving more, more, more… a big thank you to the committee for organising such a HUGE day and to all the volunteers for keeping things running so smoothly on the day. You guys ROCK! :

Cheers, Tori :king:

PS If anyone is interested in attending another road trip up to Warwick tomorrow Drew and I wil be heading on up to bring his XR6 back home, hopefully the car will be feeling a lot happier then when we left her this morning. :(

Default Awesome well organised and terriffic weekend

Congrats to the events team, A big effort put in and how it shows, and best of all the kids loved it, a great spectacle, wonderful venue, and the best company.

Special thanks to the unsung heroes, the flaggies, time keepers, and rescue team, without your valued support we would all just be dreaming of a good time.

It was also a good opportunity to get to know more of the clubbies. Looking forward to the Christmas party, by then my stories will have me being good enough to beat Loundsey. All I need is time, grog etc.

I have not had so much fun ---- well the last time i had to wear a helmet (mind you the race suit fitted then)

Could somebody please post the results, I know the 8 's will have won but we all need to by how much LOL.

As for false reports of a drifting rapid GT, in my defence is was just a understeery, oversteery thing that felt awesome. First time on a track in many years, and ohhh isn't it adictive. If that excuse isn't washing it was just an illusion the guilty culpret was the phantom 6 with the Blonde rev head in the drivers seat

If any body has pic's of Coyote cars please send to wyliec@tpg.com.au

G'day All,

Well what can I say, it was a HOOT. I knew all was going well when each time a driver came in he/she had wide eyes and an even wider grin. I trust all had a good day, if you didn't then you better check you still have a pulse.

My personal thanks to the Flagies, Time Keepers and Drew's recovery team, without you we wouldn't have been on the track.

The objective was achieved and there were no bent cars so thats what it is all about. I will have the times done tonight so keep an eye on this thread to see how you faired.

The plan will be to book the track twice next year, another half day and a full day so as soon as we can we will give you the dates so you can keep them open.

Cheers,

Ken

V8's lose - please come to terms with it all you 6 chicks it:
I hope we kicked the 6 packs way out of the park
You all know how they saying goes
4's are a bore
6 is for chicks
V8 is just great

From the V8 captain out:
Alan
BTW did any 8's cark it on the track - NO - Sorry Drew it was a cheap dig at ya but you did find a great alternative a nice Silver GT owned by a lovable lady and it was glad that you swung both ways. :ymca: and the bigger cubic inch size was to your liking.

I seem to remember a reading of 112 on the RADAR when you went past. Must have been faulty.

Well Race Fans the moment you have been waiting for. The Eights took the day with an overall average time of 1 min 29 sec to the Sixes average time of 1 min 30 sec. Again a very hotly and close run thing but who will win the year overall (Canonball Day + Morgan Park) and take the 6s V 8s Shield? You will have to wait for the Christmas Party for that one. Read it and weep.

Cheers,

Ken

I did see a 113, what were you getting. I will admitt that I was having a lot of trouble going through the last corner onto the straight. 2nd gear was to low and and 3rd was to high. But racing is not only about straight line speed, but a combination of braking and cornering and straight line speed .... and IMO a F6 should be able to eat me alive on the track. But I will wait with baited breath until Ken post up the individual time's for the V8 boys....

Flappist what car number was your again?.....

I am VERY happy......

Just got hosed by a 1,000,000hp nice purple turbo and a very nice GT-P fitted with every goody in the catalog.

Much much fun, now when is the re-match?

Oh and I was 604...... 115 km/h

Woohoo – Go the EIGHTS! Looks like we sound better and go faster! What more could you ask for! : :eclipsee_ :

I am also over the moon that I did that well considering a not very nice man in a blue GT told me my times were shocking… :(

Here is a picture of one very very hot XR8 ute burning up the track.

Thanks Ken. One question, the yellow and green columns. I know the yellow is your lap average, but what does the green represent

Thats what I thought, But my lap times were 1.20 / 1.21 / 1.25 (I thought I would give Sutty a look at the side of my ute on that lap)

Average 1.22
Fastest 1.24

I was a bit con fused as I thought my fastest was 1.20

Yes I just saw the typo on the spreadsheet.....

I can see a rematch coming out of this.....

Maybe one with less cars on the track so I don't lose time while waiting for a straight to overtake a V8......

But there is only room for a score not a story

well done.....

well, what a great day,a big thanks to all involved in running such a thrilling event. will be looking foward to re-match.now, mental note to self, order cam shaft and chip, he he he, if only had more straight line speed cause those eights had nothing around the tight part of the track, but will keep those mods up my sleeve as a surprise, Tori wont be smiling anymore when a six passes her down the front straight.

If you have a good look at the times it shows no matter what the car was, if the driver was any good (don't look at my times) it was close. It certainately is not a horsepower curcuit.

Well just read the lap times and mine weren't there, guess I was going too fast for the time keepers.

Chris just told me if I was doing under 1.30 then I deserve the GT. SOMEONE PLEASE FIND THIS TIME FOR ME.

Had a great time but now Chris will have to take me again so I can earn the GT.

Catchya all Saturday night.
