I have a crush on the new VW Polo GTI. I've been stalking demo models at various dealers, but they keep disappearing. I wouldn't be surprised if VW were contemplating putting a restraining order on me.

Currently driving an EL GLi, so i think just about anything new or near new would make me forget about it...

Next car will hopefully be a LateBFII/early FG XR.....or a VE SS/SSV depending on whats available and at what price.

I'll be after value for money since the car will just be a stepping stone for a couple of years until I can afford a new one.....

For my modern/daily needs...
AU Tickford T3, TE/TS50, both manual, fully optioned with Sunroofs etc.. 1 of each..
These would be the only upgrades that would make me consider trading my AU3 XR8 220 on, and even then I doubt Id part with it..

And for my old school wants...
XAGT RPO 83 Coupe in Calypso Green with White Trim and Factory Sunroof, or XBGT Coupe 1973 Manual in Mulberry Metallic, white trim and sunroof. Id flick my XYGT without a seconds hesitation for either of those.. Even any non RPO 83 XAGT Coupe would do me..

I am not contemplating purchasing any car to get rid of my current - I've only had my current for 2 months...

But in a dream world, a GT-E. Simple as that.

Hard call.

Though Ive never fallen in love with a shape like the E series XR's, so nothing will make me forget it.

But a car that may take its place would be either
a) Evo 9
or
b) New GT-P 335.

But nothing will ever make me forget my XR. And even the 2 above are still not enough for me to get rid of my XR. But love them to death!

A colleage of mine picked one up in early Jan. He put a deposit down sight unseen on the black 5 door 'no options' GTi, one of only 2 the dealership were getting ! If he wanted options (anything factory fitted) he was looking at July at the earliest !
Great car however, as fast as a Golf GTi and 10k cheaper.

A VE SS or SSV would do the trick. Or for that matter, anything with a displacement 5L or larger and new will suffice.

I currently have a 4 cylinder softroader. So anything with 6 or more cylinders would be great.
BMW 8 series is something I want. 300c SRT8. I want atleast 5 cars at any given time.

Even though I love fast sporty cars I really want a big luxury cruiser that is quite, effortless big engine, softish suspension for comfort and some lovely interior features.
I'd like a used previous model BMW 7 series for that because they are pretty damn cheap due to terrible resale from new.

I'm starting to warm to an EVO X. Depends on what sort of deal I can get on insurance.

Other likely candidates are an XR6T or G6ET.

We are starting to approach tis very decision. At this stage we are 90% that a new Mini Countryman will replace the Mini Cooper S. I am also considering changing the Typhoon in the next 12-18 mths, one option so far is the new Renaultsport 250 Trophee, we really don't need a big car and performance on less fuel would be nice.

Well the T2 & ZF are both keepers, but some stablemates that are sought.

FG GTE 5.0 - Daily Driver.
A T3 TS50 Manual
33 3 window coupe
65 F100 - preferably my old one back.

Maybe not a new car, id just 20 pointless threads

no seriously, my next door neighbor has a White VE Clubsport wagon.

Its cammed, low, black wheels. Its orgasmic

Id have one.

Also thinking about selling the XR8 and buying a toy, like 68-80 corvette stingray.

and just drive the sigma as a daily for a while (the plan was to only keep the sigma for like a month)

I was considering trading in my BA XR8 ute for a second hand SSV ute.

Went and had a look at a black manual one and as soon as I sat in it, it put me off.

I don’t know what it was but it really had a cheap feel to it, not at all what I was expecting. I didn’t bother taking it for a drive in the end (I’m sure it would be a great steer) as I felt like it wasn’t much of an upgrade and that was coming out of a series 1 BA XR8 with no options.

May take a look at the Series 2 when they hit the second hand market and see if there are any improvements, otherwise I may go an FG with the luxury pack option as they are a lot better inside.

Till then I will keep the XR8.

For me to replace the phoon and forget about it, it would have to be a 2007 or 2008 Audi RS4.

Then, I'd whack an MTM supercharged kit on it.
